Иран в ближайшее время начнет запуск серии космических спутников нового поколения, сообщает в воскресенье информационное агентство Fars.
      Первым в серии на орбиту будет отправлен спутник иранского производства "Фаджр", цитирует агентство министра обороны страны Ахмада Вахиди.

But I agree with you, Safir isnt suitable for launching heavier satellites to higher altitude orbits and as Iranian officials have announced they will use Simorgh for heavier satellites.
Most likely we will see first launch of Simorgh (for Tolu satellite) next year.

As I said before too, Thrust of Safir-1B engine is 37 tons compared to 32 tons of Safir-1A, Iranian officials say they could reach to this increase in thrust (and impulse) due to a new unique fuel that has been invented by Iran and is used for the first time in the world. They also says they have made some other changes on Safir-1B compared to Safir-1A.
Surely they will use such fuel and modifications on Simorgh too.

Ahmad Vahidi announced Iran is builiding new satellite launching base with capability to launch 1000 kg satellites into 1000 km altitude orbits.
He added the project has progressed 75%  till now and we hope to finish the project next year.

He talks about different topics, he talked about new base , Simorgh SLV , Tolu (90-100kg, 500km orbit), Fajr and Mesbah (65kg and can be launched by Safir-1B) Satellites Independence. He talked about both Simorgh and new base , but he didn't indicate that new base is used by Simorgh or not .

He says Fajr satellite is equiped with thrusters that allows it to change its orbit. He says this technology gives Iran this ability to deploy its satellites on Park (?) orbit and then send satellites through that orbit (Park orbit) to 36000 km orbits.

He also talked about launching a base for testing space engines and inaugurating it in near future

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited latest aerospace achievements of Iranian scientists and experts in an exhibition held Thursday to mark the 33rd victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited latest aerospace achievements of Iranian scientists and experts in an exhibition held Thursday to mark the 33rd victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

The exhibition was also held on the occasion of the national day of aerospace technology (February 9).

Experts from different universities and research centers of Iran have presented latest technologies used in Iran's aerospace products including the domestic made communication satellites of Zafar, Zohreh, Navid, Rasad, Fajr and Ayaat as well as research satellites and graphic simulators put on display in the exhibition.

Experts from Major Iranian universities of Sharif, Amir-Kabir, Elm-o San'at, and Khajeh Nassiruddin Tousi as well as a number of scientific research centers such as the Organization of Scientific Researches, Aerospace Research Center and the Center to Develop Aerospace Technology have participated in the exhibition.

During his visit, President Ahmadinejad was accompanied by Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Reza Taqipour, Head of the State Aerospace Organization Hamid Fazeli and Vice-President for Scientific and Technological Affairs Nasrin Soltankhah.

Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi says the Islamic Republic is establishing a new satellite launch base to put super-heavy satellites into orbit.

Vahidi said Thursday that the base will be used to launch one-ton satellites into an orbit of 1,000 kilometers.

He said that among Iran's next year plans was the launch of Tolou (Rise) and Fajr (Dawn) satellites into orbit.

Vahidi also said that Iran is planning to launch satellites into orbits of up to 36,000 kilometers next year.
