INTERFAX.RU - Ракета-носитель тяжелого класса Ariane V стартовала на орбиту с автоматической межпланетной станцией JUICE (Jupiter ICy moons Explorer) Европейского космического агентства (ESA), которая направляется к Юпитеру для изучения трех его лун, сообщила компания-оператор Arianespace.
Запуск был осуществлен с космодрома Куру во Французской Гвиане в 09:14 по местному времени (в 15:14 по Москве). Через примерно 28 минут после старта зонд отделился от носителя на орбите высотой 1,5 тысячи км, откуда он начал самостоятельный полет к самой большой планете Солнечной системы.

В рамках миссии межпланетная станция весом шесть тонн и размером с микроавтобус будет исследовать три крупнейших ледяных луны Юпитера - Европу, Ганимед и Каллисто. По данным астрономов, под их ледяной поверхностью скрываются океаны жидкой воды. Миссия JUICE должна изучить спутники на предмет потенциальной возможности жизни в их океанах, их поверхность, а также атмосферу и окружающие Юпитер кольца.
Станция должна достигнуть Юпитера в июле 2031 года, где она совершит серию пролетов вблизи Европы и Каллисто, а в декабре 2034 года выйдет на орбиту высотой 500 км вокруг Ганимеда, исследование которого представляет наибольший интерес у ученых. Научная миссия вблизи Юпитера и его лун рассчитана примерно на 3,5 года. Она закончится в сентябре 2035 года, когда станция должна будет врезаться в ледяную поверхность Ганимеда.
Стоимость проекта JUICE составила 1,6 млрд евро. Помимо ESA в его реализации приняли участие Национальное управление США по аэронавтике и исследованию космического пространства (NASA) и Японское агентство аэрокосмических исследований (JAXA).

It has come to light that there is a risk to the redundancy of a critical function on the Ariane 5. Consistent with safety requirements, Arianespace has decided to postpone the roll-out of the #VA261 launch vehicle.
Analyses are underway to determine a new launch date.

Following the replacement of the three pyrotechnical transmission lines identified as doubtful on the Ariane 5 launcher as well as a comprehensive review of all pyrotechnical lines, Arianespace decided to resume the launch campaign for VA261.
Initially scheduled for June 16, the new targeted launch date for VA261 is July 4, 2023, as soon as possible within the following launch window:

Between 05:30 p.m. and 07:05 p.m. Washington, D.C. time,
Between 06:30 p.m. and 08:05 p.m. Kourou time,
Between 09:30 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. Universal time (UTC),
Between 11:30 p.m. and 01:05 a.m., July 5, Paris time,
Between 06:30 a.m. and 08:05 a.m., July 5, Tokyo time.
The Ariane 5 launch vehicle and its passengers Heinrich-Hertz-Satellit and SYRACUSE 4B are in stable and safe conditions.

В ходе прощального запуска ракета-носитель должна вывести на орбиту германский спутник связи Heinrich Hertz и французский военный спутник Syracuse 4B.
Изначально запуск планировалось осуществить 16 июня, однако из-за выявленных в последний момент технических неисправностей он был отложен. Затем пуск должен был состояться в ночь на 5 июля, но его перенесли на сутки. Тогда причина была связана с неблагоприятными погодными условиями.
Спутник Heinrich Hertz компании OHB System отправляется на орбиту по заказу Германского космического агентства. Запуск Syracuse 4B осуществляется по заказу французского министерства вооруженных сил. Первый аппарат этой серии (Syracuse 4A) был отправлен на орбиту в октябре 2021 года.

Работы над семейством ракет Ariane были инициированы Францией в 1970-х годах. Нынешнее поколение этих носителей является пятым по счету. Оно относится к тяжелому классу и позволяет выводить на низкую опорную и геопереходную орбиты полезную нагрузку массой до 10,5 тонны. Первый пуск ракеты Ariane 5 состоялся в 1996 году. ЦитироватьГОНКОНГ, 14 июля. /ТАСС/. Тайвань планирует осуществить запуск на орбиту первого метеорологического спутника собственной разработки Triton в сентябре 2023 года. Об этом сообщило Международное радио Тайваня.

По его данным, позже в пятницу аппарат будет отправлен на космодром Куру во Французской Гвиане. Triton запустят при помощи европейской ракеты-носителя Vega-C. Он будет размещен на околоземной орбите высотой от 550 до 650 км.

Метеорологический спутник Triton начал разрабатываться еще в 2014 году. Около 80% оборудования для него было разработано Тайванем самостоятельно, в том числе модуль рефлектометрии. Аппарат будет задействован для получения данных о скорости ветра над поверхностью моря. Эта информация будет использоваться для прогнозирования тайфунов и оценки их возможной траектории.

THEOS-2 set to launch in September 2023
August 13, 2023, Deputy Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhanadirek disclosed about the progress of THEOS-2, Thailand's second satellite system for earth observation, designed and developed by the Thais through knowledge transfer and capacity building.
According to the Deputy Government Spokesperson, assembly and testing of THEOS-2 is now complete. It is now kept at the Airbus Test Facility in Toulouse, France, ready to be launched from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana in either the end of August or September 2023. THEOS-2A, Thailand's small observation optical satellite is also scheduled to be launched at the end of October from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), located in Sriharikota, India. It is now kept at the National Satellite Assembly Integration and Test (AIT) facilities in the Space Krenovation Park (SKP), located in Sri Racha, Chonburi province. THEOS-2's mission duration is expected to be 3 years. However, launch schedule and timeline is subject to change pending associated factor and situation.

Arianespace's next mission is targeted on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:36 p.m. local time (October 7, at 01:36 a.m. UTC), from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana with a Vega launcher. The mission, called VV23, will place its passengers into sun-synchronous orbit.
This mission will embark a main passenger, THEOS-2, and a secondary one, FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON:
THEOS-2 is a high-resolution Earth observation optical satellite, part of the next-generation national geo-information system provided by Airbus Defence and Space to support the Kingdom of Thailand's key development priorities. Delivering 0.5-meter ground resolution imagery, this end to end system will complement THEOS-1, launched in 2008 for Thailand, one of the few nations in the world able to fully exploit geo-information for societal benefits.
FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON, developed by the Taiwanese Space Agency (TASA), is equipped with the Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry (GNSS-R), which collects signals that bounce off the sea surface. It helps scientists calculate the wind field over the oceans. This data will be shared with the global meteorology community, contributing to the forecast of typhoon intensity and trajectory.
The 21st mission of Europe's Vega light launcher will also orbit ten auxiliary payloads for six different clients:
ANSER (Advanced Nanosatellite Systems for Earth observation Research) LEADER, ANSER FOLLOWER 1 and ANSER FOLLOWER 2. This cluster of three cubestats working together to study and monitor the quality of inland (reservoirs) water over Iberian Peninsula is led by the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aerospacial. The launch services is funded by the IOD/IOV program of the European Union.
ESTCube-2, manufactured by the University of Tartu (Estonia), aims to demonstrate deorbiting with plasma brake technology and qualify a deep-space nanospacecraft platform for future missions that will use the electric solar wind sail. The launch services for this mission is funded by the IOD/IOV program of the European Union.
N3SS (Nanosat 3U pour la Surveillance du Spectre) project is a demonstration system for detecting and localize radio-frequency jammers on civil spectrum. CNES is responsible for the system and satellite development and also in charge of the in-flight operations of the satellite. U-Space is the prime contractor for the platform development and the satellite AIT/AIV.
PRETTY (Passive REflecTomeTry and dosimetrY) and MACSAT that will be launched on behalf of SAB-LS. The first one is a 3U cubesat with a primary payload equipped with a passive reflectometer in the L5 Band for GPS and Galileo; and the second one is an in-orbit demonstration (IoD) mission to demonstrate IoT (Internet of things) communication over 5G.
PVCC (Proba-V Companion Cubesat), a 12U cubesat aiming at testing the performance of the payload on a cubesat platform in order to provide data to support the calibration of cubesat Earth observation missions. PVCC is an ESA mission lead by ESA/TEC for the design, launch and commissioning phases and by ESA/ESRIN and ESA/REDU for the operational and end-of-life phases.
CSC-1 & 2, two 6UXL multi-payload IOD cubesats aggregating 7 payloads from 5 countries: Belgium, Spain, Estonia, France and Czechia. They are part of the European Union IOD/IOV program for which ISISPACE/ISL is responsible for the mission implementation.
These small satellites will be carried as auxiliary payloads on the innovative Small Spacecraft Mission Service (SSMS) deployment system. The SSMS rideshare service, developed with the support of the European space industry, was first deployed by Arianespace in September 2020. Funded by the European Space Agency (ESA), Arianespace's SSMS service will soon be joined by the Multiple Launch Service (MLS), a similar offering designed for the Ariane 6 launch vehicle.
