A set of 12 hooks have engaged to make a firm mechanical connection between Crew Dragon and the International Space Station.

Two umbilicals will also be mated inside the docking adapter to route power and data between the space station and Crew Dragon.

Вашингтон. 17 ноября. ИНТЕРФАКС - Выведенный на орбиту новый американский космический корабль Crew Dragon компании SpaceX с четырьмя астронавтами на борту во вторник успешно состыковался с Международной космической станцией (МКС), сообщили в NASA.

Стыковка была осуществлена в автоматическом режиме к модулю Harmony американского сегмента станции в 07:00 мск.

Запуск первого регулярного полета Crew Dragon-1 с астронавтами на борту был осуществлен 15 ноября в 19:27 по времени Восточного побережья США (16 ноября в 03:27 мск) со стартового комплекса 39А на космодроме на мысе Канаверал во Флориде с помощью ракеты-носителя Falcon 9 компании SpaceX.

В состав экипажа входят астронавты NASA Майкл Хопкинс, Виктор Гловер, Шеннон Уокер и астронавт Японского агентства аэрокосмических исследований JAXA Соичи Ногучи. Их миссия на МКС продлиться шесть месяцев.

Астронавты присоединятся к членам 64-й длительной экспедиции на МКС в составе командира станции космонавта "Роскосмоса" Сергея Рыжикова, космонавта Сергея Кудь-Сверчкова и астронавта NASA Кэтлин Рубинс.

НЬЮ-ЙОРК, 17 ноября. /ТАСС/. Американский пилотируемый космический корабль Crew Dragon компании SpaceX в понедельник осуществил стыковку с Международной космической станцией (МКС). Трансляция ведется на сайте Национального управления по аэронавтике и исследованию космического пространства США (NASA).

Пилотируемая версия Crew Dragon рассчитана на причаливание к станции в автоматическом режиме. При необходимости, как и в российских "Союзах", возможна ручная стыковка командиром корабля.

В состав экипажа миссии Crew-1 входят астронавты NASA Майкл Хопкинс, Виктор Гловер, Шэннон Уокер и представитель Японского агентства аэрокосмических исследований Соити Ногути. Из них трое имеют опыт космических полетов: японец Ногути дважды летал в космос, американцы Хопкинс и Уокер - по одному разу. Для астронавта Гловера нынешний полет на орбиту является первым.

Корабль под названием Resilience ("Стойкость") был запущен ракетой-носителем Falcon 9, стартовавшей в понедельник в 03:27 мск с космодрома на мысе Канаверал (штат Флорида). SpaceX под руководством Илона Маска посадила использованную первую ступень носителя на плавучую платформу Of Course I Still Love You ("Конечно, я все еще люблю тебя") в Атлантическом океане. Компания совершенствует технологию возврата ступени для снижения стоимости запуска ракет.

NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchiarrived at the International Space Station Monday, as the SpaceX Crew Dragon Resilience docked to the complex a 11:01 p.m. EST over Idaho.

Following Crew Dragon's link up to the Harmony module, the astronauts aboard the Resilience and the space station will begin conducting standard leak checks and pressurization between the spacecraft in preparation for hatch opening scheduled for 1:10 a.m.

Hopkins, Glover, Walker, and Noguchi will join the Expedition 64 crew of Commander Sergey Ryzhikov and Flight Engineer Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, both of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, and Flight Engineer Kate Rubins of NASA.

NASA Television and the agency's website are continuing to provide live continuous coverage of the agency's SpaceX Crew-1 mission.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon Resilience successfully docked to the International Space Station at 11:01 p.m. EST Monday, transporting NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi.

When the hatches open about 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Crew-1 astronauts will join Expedition 64 Flight Engineer Kate Rubins of NASA, and station Commander Sergey Ryzhikov and Flight Engineer Sergey Kud-Sverchkov of Roscosmos, who arrived to the station Oct. 14.

NASA TV will continue to provide live coverage through the welcoming ceremony with NASA's Associate Administrator for Human Exploration and Operations Kathy Lueders joining to greet the crew from the Mission Control Center at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, and JAXA President Hiroshi Yamakawa joining from the Tsukuba Space Center in Japan. The welcome ceremony is targeted to begin about 1:40 a.m.

About 2 a.m., NASA will host a news conference following the welcome ceremony with the following participants:

• Kathy Lueders, associate administrator for human exploration and operations, NASA Headquarters
• Johnson Center Director Mark Geyer
• Ven Feng, deputy manager, NASA's Commercial Crew Program
• Joel Montalbano, program manager, International Space Station

All media participation will be remote; no media will be accommodated at any NASA site due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Media may ask questions by phone in the post-docking news conference Nov. 17 by calling the Johnson newsroom at 281-483-5111 no later than 1:50 a.m.

On Thursday, Nov. 19, the four astronauts who are beginning the first crew rotation mission on the space station will join Rubins to answer questions in a news conference from the space station that will air live at 9:55 a.m. on NASA Television and the agency's website.

The crew will discuss its upcoming expedition, which increases the regular space station crew size from six to seven astronauts – adding to the crew time available for research – as well as their launch, rendezvous, and docking.

NASA's SpaceX Crew-1 mission lifted off Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7:27 p.m. on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission is the first of six certified, crew missions NASA and SpaceX will fly as a part of the agency's Commercial Crew Program.

Media may ask questions for the crew news conference Nov. 19 by phone by calling the Johnson newsroom at 281-483-5111 no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. Questions also may be submitted in advance using #askNASA. Reporters must dial into the news conference no later than 9 a.m. Thursday.

ВАШИНГТОН, 17 ноя – РИА Новости. Астронавт НАСА Кейт Рубинс на МКС открыла люк американского модуля Международной космической станции для перехода экипажа с прибывшего корабля Crew Dragon, НАСА ведет прямую трансляцию стыковки.

Crew Dragon прибыл на МКС в 7:01 мск во вторник после старта с Земли накануне.

На борту частного пилотируемого корабля на МКС прибыли трое астронавтов НАСА и астронавт японского космического агентства.

"Борт-инженер 64-го экипажа МКС Кейт Рубинс открыла люк модуля "Гармония", - сообщили ведущие трансляции. Сейчас продолжаются работы по выравниванию давления в шлюзовом отсеке для того, чтобы был открыт люк корабля и экипаж мог покинуть Crew Dragon.

Тем временем экипаж, как сообщает НАСА, снял скафандры, в которых был во время старта корабля и стыковки с МКС. "Экипаж ведет просушку скафандров", - сообщила ведущая трансляции.

This is an intermediate step in preparation for opening the Crew Dragon hatch.
