Hello!

I have seen a promotional film produced by NPOMash with the title, Космическа Программа "Алмаз". I have also seen reference to another film which shows similar scenes but also has images of models of the UR-700 and Proton with LKS. Does anyone here know the title of this film or know where I can obtain a copy?

Best Regards,

Hi David,

If you do not mind my asking, I am curious what kind of business your company is doing?

I certainly do not mind you asking. I design, create and manufacture highly detailed scale models of historical Soviet/Russian manned spacecraft and the related Carrier Rockets as well as prepare technical drawings of the same. I have many projects in the works but, cannot release any until they are completed. Therein lies the problem. It is sometimes very difficult to obtain necessary information.

For example, I have many detailed images of OPS-4, but because I lack views of several small areas, I am unable to complete this project. I am very "picky" about my work. I can only complete a project when I can show ALL the necessary details such as access hatches and panels, and in the case of OPS-4, how the solar panels operated (unfolded after launch).

Another project I am working on is a 1/96 scale model of the N1 Carrier Rocket.  I am working with Alexander Shliadiniski on this project. He has prepared a VERY detailed set of drawings of this vehicle. I still lack details that existed between the interstage areas between Block A and B and Block B and V. My greatest interest, however, is the designs of V.N. Chelomei. I would love to be able to produce a model and series of drawings of his LKS.

Much time was spent on the development of Chelomei's LKS vehicle and it is not fair that there is so little information available about it. Shouldn't the designers of the LKS be given credit for their creation? I would like to produce a series of drawings and then encourage another party to prepare an article for publication which my drawings could accompany  .

So far I have spent much time and money on these projects and have yet to see a dime for my efforts. But, this is more a project of passion rather than profit!

I do not have a website because the many images I have obtained through various industries, companies and individuals were given to me on the condition that I do not publish or reproduce them. However, once I start releasing my finished products to the public, I will create a website in which I can display these works.

Is this sufficient information for now?

Agent of...!?! I don't even know how to spell CIA!

If I were an agent of the CIA I would not be looking for information. I would simply make it up and add that the LKS (for example) was designed to deliver WMD!

Absolutely! Thank's a lot.
It's a pity though that I can not share your passion for the hystory, even if it is a hystory of russian space exploration, even if it is a hystory of NPOMash to which I used to be remotely related. The furure, not the past, is more of my interest ;).

Anyway, I have a great respect for your enterprise and for your efforts to preserve the memory of russian scientists and engineers, they have well deserved that.

Good luck in all your endeavors!
