Hazard area's for the launch of India's RISAT-1B / EOS-09 satellite aboard PSLV-C61 have appeared, revealing that the launch is scheduled for NET May 18th between 00:00 and 04:00 UTC! Once in orbit, the satellite will join the identical RISAT-1A / EOS-04 satellite.

Москва. 18 мая. INTERFAX.RU - Ракета-носитель PSLV-XL из-за возникших технических проблем в третьей ступени в ходе полета не смогла в воскресенье вывести на орбиту спутник дистанционного зондирования Земли EOS-09, сообщила Индийская организация космических исследований (ISRO).

Запуск ракеты был осуществлен со стартовой площадки Космического центра имени Сатиша Дхавана, расположенного на острове Шрихарикота на юго-востоке Индии в 05:59 по местному времени (в 03:29 по Москве).

срок службы которого рассчитан на пять лет, должен был предоставлять высококачественные изображения при любых погодных условиях и освещённости. Его радар с синтезированной апертурой имеет разрешение до 1 м.

Аппарат массой 1696 кг должен был стать частью орбитальной группировки индийских радарных спутников, которые используются для радиолокационной съёмки в интересах сельского и лесного хозяйства, для изучения состояния грунта, поверхностных вод, картирования наводнений, а также военной разведки. Эти спутники размещены на низкой околоземной орбите на высоте около 535 км над поверхностью Земли.

Не вникал, как стабилизируется третья ступень PSLV. Например, мог включиться какой-то газовый верньер, завернувший вектор тяги. Но по графику потеря тяги была конкретной, что не характерно для нормально работающего РДТТ.

Тут авария примерно на 363-й секунде, у следующей PSLV — на 377-й секунде. Результаты расследования этой аварии не объявлялись. Те же самые грабли?

The minister also said that the two PSLV missions that had failed—PSLV-C61 in May 2025 and PSLV-C62 in January this year—were unrelated.

"It wasn't the same problem. When the first mission failed, there was a detailed assessment, and the problem was fixed. Both the issues were different," Singh said.

He also added that separate internal and external failure assessment committees have been set up to analyse what went wrong in each of the missions.
