Yesterday, #ISRO flagged off the core liquid stage (L110) of its LVM3-M5 Mission to the Sriharikota launch site.
Launch is scheduled for Q2 of 2025.
The first satellite of the BlueBird Block-2 constellation will be carried by the LVM3-M5 mission for AST SpaceMobile, an American satellite-based internet service.

Secretary, DOS/Chairman, ISRO flagged off the core liquid stage (L110) of ISRO's LVM3 launch vehicle on January 17, 2025, to the launch complex at Sriharikota in the presence of the Directors of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) and ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC). This stage is the 10th L110 liquid stage integrated at ISRO Propulsion complex, Mahendragiri and is earmarked for the LVM3 mission under a commercial agreement between NSIL and AST & Science, LLC to launch their BlueBird Block 2 satellite. The stage was designed and developed by Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) during the development of the LVM3 launch vehicle and is powered by twin Vikas engines with a propellant loading of 110 tonnes.

Rukmini has long been the backbone of naval communications, enabling secure real-time links between warships, submarines, aircraft, and shore-based command centers across the Indian Ocean.
With upgraded payloads, GSAT-7R is designed to expand secure, multi-band communications for the Navy's growing blue-water operations. Its enhanced coverage and resilience will strengthen India's network-centric warfare capabilities and extend the Navy's operational reach across critical maritime domains.

ISRO has confirmed that the LVM3-M5 mission carrying the GSAT-7R / CMS-03 satellite is officially scheduled for November 2nd! The rocket was transfered to the launchpad earlier today. The satellite weighs 4,400kg, making it the heaviest GEO satellite to be launched from India.

India's LVM3 launch vehicle is scheduled to launch the CMS-03 communication satellite in its 5th operational flight (LVM3-M5) on November 02, 2025. CMS-03 is a multi-band communication satellite that will provide services over a wide oceanic region including the Indian landmass. CMS-03, weighing about 4400kg, will be the heaviest communication satellite to be launched to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) from Indian soil. The previous mission of LVM3 launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission, where in, India became the first country to land successfully near the lunar south pole.
The launch vehicle has been fully assembled and integrated with the spacecraft and has been moved to the Launch Pad on October 26, 2025 for further pre-launch operations.
