Mission Details
SPAINSAT New Generation I
SPAINSAT NG is Hisdesat's largest project since its foundation. Its technological complexity and strategic relevance will position the company as an international benchmark in satellite communications. The new Spainsat NG generation will multiply by 16 times the capacity in X and Ka military band with respect to the current devices and will add a new payload in UHF band. In addition, it will operate with active X-band antennas in receive and transmit. Pioneers in the European aerospace sector, each of them will be assigned 16 different areas of operation to perform their coverage services with electronic configuration.
The SpainSat NG I & II will replace the current SpainSat and XTAR-EUR and will incorporate the latest technological advances in communications to reinforce their capabilities, security levels and resilience. They will have a useful life of about 15 years, which means that they will be fully operational until the 2040 threshold.

The SpainSat-NG I satellite has successfully completed Thermal Vacuum and Vibration testing! These tests verified the satellite can survive the harsh conditions of launch and space. The satellite will now be prepared for a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch in Late-December or January.

ЦитироватьSpaceX is targeting Wednesday, January 29 for a Falcon 9 launch of the Hisdesat SpainSat NG I mission to geosynchronous transfer orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The two-hour window opens at 8:34 p.m. ET. If needed, a backup opportunity is available on Thursday, January 30 at the same time.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the new X TV app.
Due to the additional performance required to deliver this payload to orbit, this will be the 21st and final flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SES-22, ispace's HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazonas-6, CRS-27, Bandwagon-1, GSAT-20, Thuraya-4, and 13 Starlink missions...
