ChinaSat 9B (Zhongxing-9B)
Zhongxing-9B is a Chinese communications satellite, that will replace the Zhongxing-9A satellite in orbit. The latter was launched in 2017, but the CZ-3B launch vehicle suffered a partial failure, and the satellite had to burn a large amount of fuel to reach its nominal orbit.

ZX-9B will be used to retransmit television to the Chinese, as well as to provide television communications with Chinese islands, and ships sailing near the coast. The satellite will also be used to broadcast the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in 8K.

ChinaSat-9B or ZhongXing-9B (中星9B) is a communications satellite operated by China Satellite Communications and designed to will replace the ChinaSat-9A satellite. According to official sources, the satellite was placed in the desired orbit.

XICHANG, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- China successfully launched a new direct broadcast satellite (DBS) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province Thursday.

The satellite, Zhongxing-9B, was launched at 7:50 p.m. (Beijing Time) by a Long March-3B carrier rocket and entered the planned orbit successfully.

The new DBS is designed to run for 15 years and will be operated by the China Satellite Communications Co., Ltd., said the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

Zhongxing-9B, equipped with specially designed transponders, can support the transmission of 4K and 8K high-definition video programs and provide high-quality live broadcast transmission services for major events such as the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

In addition, the new DBS will provide timely and reliable communication services for emergency rescue and disaster relief.

This launch marked the 388th mission for the Long March series carrier rockets.

Two orbital launches on Sep 9, a CZ-3B from Xichang and a Soyuz-2-1V from Plesetsk. Should be launches 2021-080 and 2021-081 but the TLEs are tagged as -081 and -082; unclear if this is a mistake by @18SPCS or if there's another mystery launch that squeezed in there somewhere

Zhongxing 9B was launched at 1150 UTC Sep 9 into a 206 x 35792 km x 24.6 deg orbit. The satellite will replace Zhongzing 9A, which had a shortened life after its launch vehicle underperformed

Американцы опять сделали это -- "Чжунсин" получил номер 49125 и международное обозначение 2021-081A, хотя у объектов "Гаофэня" номера 49122--49124 и международное обозначение 2021-079. Куда при таких раскладах деть 2021-080, непонятно.
