A LOX plug didn't pull away from Antares.  They are going to pull the entire TEL back to get the plug out.

Today's launch will mark the 11th flight of an Antares rocket since 2013, and the first in the Antares 230+ configuration with RD-181 engines at full thrust through most of the first stage burn. See a timeline of the 8-minute, 38-second launch sequence: https://spaceflightnow.com/2019/11/02/antares-ng-12-launch-timeline/ ...

We have 12 #CubeSats on the #NG12 launch - and we're so happy to have five of them come from the Undergraduate Student Instrument Project (USIP)! Congratulations to all of the students, and thanks to all who are joining us this morning at #NG12!

45 minutes until liftoff. The Cygnus spacecraft on this flight is carrying 3,705 kilograms, or 8,168 pounds, of supplies to the International Space Station. This is the ninth flight of the enlarged Cygnus pressurized cargo module from Thales Alenia Space, providing 25 percent more interior volume for supplies. The spacecraft measures about 20 feet tall, and the pressurized cargo module has a volume of about 27 cubic meters, or 950 cubic feet.

Here are some statistics on today's launch:
    [/li]
  • 11th Antares rocket launch
  • 1st launch of the Antares 230+ configuration
  • 17th orbital launch from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport
  • 13th launch of a Cygnus spacecraft
  • 2nd orbital launch from Wallops in 2019
  • 17th orbital launch from the United States in 2019
  • 76th global orbital launch attempt in 2019

The Wallops range is "green" for toxic and debris rules. These rules ensure debris and toxic vapors from the launcher do not spread over populated areas in the event of an accident.

Everyone is GO for launch.  No issues on rocket or range. Teams confirm all RCC abort icons are active in case they are needed today; of course, we hope to never have to use those.
