#SpaceX will be conducting a Static Fire Test of their Falcon 9 rocket at LC-39A on Friday May 4, 2018. The 3.5 second run of the Falcon 9 engines is scheduled to occur within an 8 hour test window, currently scheduled for 1200-2000 Eastern Time.

The upgraded Falcon 9 rocket appears to have completed its nearly two-hour journey from its hangar to the launch pad.

Next the rocket will be lifted vertical. A hotfire of the nine Merlin first stage engines could occur as early as tomorrow.

Darkness is falling at the Kennedy Space Center as SpaceX prepares to lift the first Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket into position on the launch pad for a crucial engine test tomorrow. The 3.5 second firing of the nine Merlin first stage engines is due to take place during an eight hour window that opens at noon EDT (1600 GMT).
