Falcon 9 was in auto, so her flight computer aborted the count. Because an auto-abort sends numerous systems into a new safe mode, they have to look through the telemetry logs to pinpoint the issue. Takes time.

Standing down today due to a standard ground system auto abort at T-1 min. Rocket and payload are in good health—teams are working towards tomorrow's backup launch opportunity at 4:14 p.m. EDT, or 20:14 UTC.

Ground computers were at fault for today's #SpaceX launch abort from Pad 39A. Ground computers were also to blame for back to back aborts during the Intelsat 35e mission in July of last year.

A fresh weather forecast issued by the U.S. Air Force's 45th Weather Squadron after Thursday's scrubbed launch attempt now shows a 70 percent probability of acceptable conditions during Friday's launch window.

That is an improvement over the 60 percent chance of favorable weather for Friday during previous forecasts.

The prime weather concern is still with the potential of violating the thick cloud rule.

Forecasters predict a few clouds at 2,500 feet and a broken cloud deck at 28,000 feet. Winds should be from the east at 12 to 17 mph, with a temperature around 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
