ЦитироватьTo accommodate the satellite, SpaceX will launch the Falcon 9 in its fully expendable configuration , foregoing an attempt to recover the first stage in order to maximize the mass it can deliver into orbit.

Inmarsat 5 F4 will take all of the Falcon 9's power to soar into as high of an orbit as possible Monday, according to Franci.... "It's not going to be recovered. No element of the first stage or anything else will be recovered. We've taken off all the gear that allows the recovery. We're going to use the entire capacity of the vehicle to bring the satellite to GTO... Parameters for the target orbit are not available, he said, because the upper stage engine is programmed to keep firing until it is almost out of fuel, a technique rocket engineers call a "minimum residual shutdown." The tank-draining burn is intended to ensure the Inmarsat 5 F4 satellite goes into as high of an orbit as possible, reducing the work the craft's own thrusters need to do in the coming months."

Никакого дополнительного оборудования, и будут выжигать топливо досуха. У миссии единственная задача - закинуть спутник как можно выше, чтобы сберечь его ресурс.

The timeline for today's countdown calls for RP-1 kerosene, chilled to around 20 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 6 degrees Celsius), to begin flowing into the two-stage rocket at T-minus 70 minutes. Liquid oxygen loading will follow at T-minus 45 minutes.

A poll of the SpaceX launch team is expected at T-minus 73 minutes to give a "go" for fueling operations.

Not hearing anything that would prevent start of fueling right on time for an opening of launch window @ 19:21 EDT. #SpaceX #Inmarsat5

T-minus 60 minutes and counting. Tanking of the Falcon 9 rocket should have begun around 10 minutes ago, but SpaceX has not provided any updates on the progress of the countdown since the planned launch conductor's poll.

Vapors are visible streaming away from the Falcon 9 rocket, an indication that fueling operations have begun.

Super-chilled, densified liquid oxygen should now be flowing into the two-stage Falcon 9 rocket.
Boths stages of the launcher burn the same RP-1/liquid oxygen propellant mixture.

Flight Director loop just stated "2mins to START of LOX load." That should have happened 8mins ago. They are behind. #SpaceX #Inmarsat5

If they are 10mins behind, launch is now 19:31 EDT. Launch window extends to 20:10 EDT. #SpaceX #Falcon9 #Inmarsat5

To be clear, while LOX load appears to have started late, there's been no announced change to 19:21 ET launch time. #SpaceX #Inmarsat5
