THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Soon after Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s successful mission of PSLV-C34 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota on Wednesday that placed all the 20 satellites at one go, the heads of ISRO units including SDSC and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) indicate that the entire team is now focussed on their next mission of PSLV-C35 launch planned for August.
 
"A review meet will be convened by ISRO chairman AS Kiran Kumar soon to finalise on further missions including GSLV-Mark III and the demo project of Air Breathing Propulsion System (ABPS) for advanced space missions. Now with this milestone of 20 satellites launch in a single mission and its successful restart exercise of the fourth-stage engine PS4, it offers the required start for the next mission of PSLV-C35 planned in August first week for launch of two satellites in different orbits," SDSC director P Kunhikrishnan told TOI.

Strikingly, VSSC director K Sivan told TOI that, "all the 20 satellites injected into the orbit on board PSLV-C34 are being tracked and are in control. The rocket's fourth stage PS4 propellant engine demonstrated two complex tasks, 50 minutes after the satellites were injected into the orbit. The engine was cut off for 30 seconds and then re-ignited. It offers more poise for the next mission of PSLV- C35 to launch satellites in two different orbits".

Using the PSLV-C35 for the first time, Isro will place the SLATSAT and two satellites of Algeria-AlSat-2 - in different orbits.

 ISRO believes that this will give a choice to its national and international customers interested in placing their satellites in different orbits in a single mission.                      
Nellore: ISRO will be launching satellites in different orbits in its forthcoming mission using the PSLV-C35 for the first time.
The rocket will place the SLATSAT and two satellites of Algeria-AlSat-2 - in different orbits. Two satellites of Indian universities will also be launched in the mission.
As part of the preparations for the multi-orbit launch, scientists restarted the PSLV-C34 after it injected all the satellites into orbit for Wednesday's mission.
A similar experiment was successfully carried out sometime back with the PSLV-C29. ISRO believes that this will give a choice to its national and international customers interested in placing their satellites in different orbits in a single mission.
In fact, injecting 20 satellites for Wednesday's mission was a challenge as the primary satellite, Cart-osat, had to be injected in a sun synchronous orbit and the other 19 small satellites had to be ejected, ensuring a safe distances between each other.

Pratham student satellite

The Pratham satellite, built by students at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, is expected to launch on the Indian PSLV-C35 currently planned for September 26

Pratham, a 300x300x300mm satellite with a mass of 10 kg, aims to measure total electron count in a 800 km altitude Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO).

Aayush Yadav of the Pratham team writes:

We, students of IIT Bombay, are glad to inform you that our project, Pratham, is ready and expected to launch with PSLV-C35 in the last week of September. We would be really happy if  you all joined us in receiving our satellite's beacon, details given below:

35 WPM CW Beacon on 145.980 MHz

1200 bps FSK Beacon on 437.455 MHz (To be switched on over France and India only)

 MUMBAI: IIT Bombay's first student satellite, Pratham+ , will be launched on September 26 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The nearly-10kg Pratham, which is also Mumbai's first satellite, will launch aboard the highly-proven Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) at 9.30 am.
 
 Pratham's main role will be to measure what is known as the total electron count in the ionosphere. It has a four-month mission span and will operate at an altitude of 720 km in the sun-synchronous orbit.
 
 Prof Hemendra Arya of the aerospace engineering department who is mentoring the Pratham team said the satellite's integration with the rocket is expected to begin a week prior to the lift-off. "We have received a message from Isro that the launch is on September 26. If it is rescheduled on account of weather factors or any other reason, it will be postponed only by a day or so," he said.
 
 Isro officials confirmed that the lift off will be on September 26 and that the preparations are in full swing. Wishing the IIT students the best, ISRO Satellite Centre director Mylswamy Annadurai said in a Facebook post: "Today 11 Sep is a special day in many ways for many people. Today In ISRO satellite centre, it is flagging off a vehicle carrying two student satellites PRADHAM(IIT-B) & PISAT(PESIT)."
 
 Pratham and six other satellites will piggyback on PSLV along with the main Isro weather satellite, ScatSat. Prior to being sent to Sriharikota, the satellites have undergone rigorous tests at the satellite centre.

 On Sunday, Pratham and Pisat, another student satellite from Bengalaru, were flagged off to Sriharikota from the Isro Satellite Centre in Bengaluru in a single car.
 
 The students have said that they are planning an event on the IIT campus on the launch day. With the launch day nearing, parents of the students are also getting involved. One of them has posted on Pratham's Facebook page: "All the best. Lot of efforts. Proud of you all." Thanking the parent, the students replied: "All because of blessings and support of all parents."

India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, in its thirty-seventh flight (PSLV-C35), will launch the 377 kg SCATSAT-1 for ocean and weather related studies and seven co-passenger satellites into polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO). Co-passenger satellites are from Algeria, Canada and USA as well as two satellites from Indian Universities/ Academic Institute.
SCATSAT-1 will be placed into a 720 km Polar SSO whereas; the two Universities/ Academic Institute Satellites and the five foreign satellites will be placed into a 670 km polar orbit. This is the first mission of PSLV in which it will be launching its payloads into two different orbits.
PSLV-C35 will be launched from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. It will be the fifteenth flight of PSLV in 'XL' configuration (with the use of solid strap-on motors).

The  PSLV-C35  is scheduled to be launched on Monday morning at 9:12 hrs (IST) on September 26, 2016 from SDSC SHAR , Sriharikota.

Вот это интересно, конечно  :)  Почему тогда на сайте ISRO и в официальной брошюре пишут про XL... Откуда информация про G3?
