Falcon 9 is ready for another launch attempt of GPS III SV01 tommorow morning. The window opens at 8:55 am local (13:55 UTC). Weather is 90% go, but that does not include upper level winds which have been problematic this week.

After overcoming a concern with a sensor on the rocket and waiting for better weather on Florida's Space Coast, SpaceX hopes to launch a Falcon 9 rocket at 8:55 a.m. EST (1355 GMT) Saturday from Cape Canaveral with the first in a new line of upgraded U.S. Air Force GPS navigation satellites.

The 229-foot-tall Falcon 9 rocket is standing vertical at Cape Canaveral's Complex 40 launch pad this morning, as SpaceX runs through steps to power up the launcher and check the health of key systems before the start of an automated countdown sequence at T-minus 35 minutes -- 8:20 a.m. EST (1320 GMT).
Спойлер
At that time, pre-launch procedures will begin in earnest with filling of the Falcon 9 rocket with chilled, densified kerosene and super-cold liquid oxygen propellants.

In the final 10 minutes of the countdown, the Falcon 9's nine Merlin 1D first stage engines will be chilled down, or thermally conditioned, in preparation for ignition. The Falcon 9 rocket will also be switched to internal power, a final engineering steering check will be accomplished, and the launcher's navigation system will be configured for flight.

SpaceX's launch director will verify the launch team is "go" for launch at T-minus 45 seconds, the the rocket's engine controller will command ignition of the nine Merlin main engines at T-minus 3 seconds.

The Falcon 9's flight today will last nearly two hours from liftoff through deployment of the Air Force's GPS 3 SV01 navigation satellite. Today's launch will be the 21st and final mission of the year for SpaceX, and the company does not intend to recover the Falcon 9's first stage booster due to the high performance required to place the GPS satellite into its targeted orbit thousands of miles above Earth.

Rough seas and high winds look to be the cause of cancelled fairing retrieval by GO Pursuit for today's launch. Waves up to 6m high and wind gusts of 70km/h in the recovery zone!

Upper level winds are going to be strong. Hopefully, not too strong. Remember, these are not included in the launch forecast which is 90% go. #SpaceX

Upper Level Winds is the watch item. That element isn't in the Range Weather forecasts you see ahead of a launch.

Not a great sign. Means Upper Level Winds are currently red and you have to wonder if they can improve in the space of 20 or so minutes.
