Европейский концерн Arianespace произведет замену двигателей двух ракет-носителей "Союз СТ-А" в связи с аварией российского космического грузовика "Прогресс М-12М" и рассчитывает провести первый и второй запуски российских ракет-носителей "Союз СТ-Б" с космодрома Куру во Французской Гвиане 20 октября и 19 декабря, сообщил во вторник РИА Новости представитель Arianespace Марио де Лепин.

"Ступени двух ракет "Союз", которые находятся в Гвиане, мы отправим производителю, нам должны прислать новые. Но эта замена не коснется первого запуска, поскольку ракеты, на которых будут менять двигатели, планируется запустить во вторую и третью очередь", - сказал де Лепин.

По его словам, если ступени ракет придется отправлять на корабле, то время доставки в один конец составит 15 дней, однако, в зависимости от размера груза, двигатели могут отправить и на грузовом самолете.

"Российская сторона работает над этим и готовит эту операцию (по замене двигателей)", - заявил представитель Arianespace.

Лепин добавил, что, поскольку замена двигателей уже готовится, то опасности переноса ближайших запусков пока нет.

Denis Schmitt, a program manager at the Arianespace launch consortium of Evry, France, told the conference that the other European Soyuz configuration, the Soyuz 2-1a, which carries a third-stage engine similar to the one that failed in August, is still scheduled for a mid-December liftoff from the European spaceport.

Two of the four Soyuz rockets that have been delivered to the Guiana Space Center spaceport are the 2-1a variant. The third stages for these rockets are being returned to Russia for testing and, if needed, modification.

Schmitt said the most likely scenario is that a Soyuz 2-1a third stage that has already been rechecked in Russia will be sent to French Guiana. That would permit the launch teams preparing Soyuz's second launch from the European launch base to be ready for a mid-December flight.

The second Soyuz launch is scheduled to carry six satellites. The main payload is the French Pleiades high-resolution optical Earth observation satellite for French commercial, civil-government and military use. Four French Elisa electronic-intelligence satellites will share the ride into low Earth orbit, as will Chile's SSOT medium-resolution Earth observation satellite, which was built by Astrium of France.[/size]

The second Soyuz to be operated from French Guiana is ready to start the build-up process at the Spaceport, maintaining Arianespace's mission pace for this newest member of its growing launcher family.

Assembly activity will begin with integration of the upper and lower sections for Soyuz' core second stage, with these two elements now installed on horizontal jigs that are aligned in the floor-level rail system of the Spaceport's MIK integration building.

Also in the MIK facility is the Fregat upper stage for this upcoming mission, which has been positioned at separate processing area within the building, where its initial checkout has been initiated.

Preparations for Arianespace's second Soyuz mission from French Guiana are moving forward as assembly and checkout of the vehicle continue at the Spaceport.

Its basic three-stage launcher is now taking shape in the MIK integration hall at the Soyuz launch site, located in the Spaceport's northwestern sector near the town of Sinnamary.  This process began with the horizontal mating of the second-stage central core's upper and lower sections, using jigs aligned in the MIK facility's floor-level rail system.

The activity cleared the way for installation of the launcher's four first-stage boosters, of which the first two were mated to its core center stage during the weekend.  Its remaining two boosters will be added in the next step, to be followed by integration of the in-line third stage – completing the vehicle's build-up in the horizontal integration process used for all Soyuz launchers.

Also in the MIK facility, the Soyuz' Fregat upper stage continues to undergo its checkout, which includes validation of data communications.  

Once the Fregat's preparations are complete, this stage will be moved to the Spaceport's S3B clean room, where it will be integrated with the mission's payload and fairing – creating the launcher's upper composite section.  The upper composite is to be installed atop the Soyuz once the vehicle is rolled out to the launch pad and erected in the vertical position, protected by a purpose-built mobile service gantry.

В Гвианском космическом центре компания «Арианспейс» приступила к подготовке второго запуска российской ракеты-носителя «Союз», который планируется на 16 декабря.

Как сообщили в компании, в монтажно-испытательном корпусе (МИК), расположенном в северо-западной части космодрома, приступили к сборке трехступенчатой ракеты. Этот процесс начат с горизонтальной стыковки верхней и нижней секций центрального ракетного блока второй ступени. В настоящее время из четырех ракетных ускорителей первой ступени к центральной части второй ступени ракеты пристыкованы два ускорителя. На следующем этапе сборки будут присоединены еще два ускорителя первой ступени. Затем начнется пристыковка третьей ступени.

В МИКе также продолжается проверка разгонного блока «Фрегат». После ее завершения разгонный блок доставят в «чистую» комнату S3B, где его состыкуют с полезной нагрузкой и закроют обтекателем космической головной части (КГЧ). Стыковка КГЧ с ракетой будет проведена в вертикальном положении в мобильной башне обслуживания.

A focus of activity for Arianespace's second Soyuz flight from French Guiana is now on the Spaceport's S3B clean room facility, where the medium-lift launcher's Fregat upper stage is being readied for fueling.

Fregat is an autonomous and highly flexible orbital vehicle that can be restarted up to 20 times in flight – enabling it to carry out complex mission profiles.

Built by the Lavochkin Research and Production Association, the Fregat upper stage has an array of six welded spherical tanks -- with four spheres serving as the propellant tanks, while the other two operate as sealed instrumentation bays containing the flight control system, along with radio and telemetry systems.

To support the new Soyuz launch activity in French Guiana, the S3B facility has been configured for the final preparation of Fregat upper stages and payload integration.  It is the location where Fregat is fueled, and contains the integration stand where satellite passengers are installed atop the upper stage, along with the payload fairing.

     В Гвианском космическом центре продолжается подготовка ко второму в истории комплекса пуску российской ракеты-носителя «Союз-СТ» с разгонным блоком «Фрегат-МТ». Предыдущий пуск состоялся 21 октября, тогда российская ракета космического назначения «Союз-СТ» вывела на орбиту два европейских космических аппарата «Галилео».

     Разгонный блок «Фрегат-МТ» разработан в Научно производственном объединении им. С.А.Лавочкина (г. Химки Московской обл.) и адаптирован для эксплуатации в условиях Гвианского космического центра совместно с РН «Союз-СТ», созданной в ЦСКБ «Прогресс» (г. Самара) на базе ракеты «Союз-2».

     Ракета-носитель оснащена головным обтекателем типа «СТ», соответствующим международным требованиям, что в сочетании с использованием разгонного блока «Фрегат» обеспечивает выведение на орбиту широкого спектра полезных нагрузок.

     Сегодня в зале заправки сооружения S3B (площадка ELA) расчёты российских и европейских специалистов продолжают готовить РБ «Фрегат-МТ» к заправке компонентами топлива.

     Работы с РН «Союз-СТ» и РБ «Фрегат-МТ» ведутся по программе запуска в космос кластера космических аппаратов «Плеяды», «Элиза» и SSOT.
