Иран планирует запустить три спутника

Иран намерен осуществить запуск трех спутников собственного производства в субботу, 2 февраля - в национальный день космических технологий, заявил директор Иранского космического агентства Хамид Фазели.

На пресс-конференции он уточнил, что на орбиту будут выведены спутники "Фаджр", "Нахид" и "Каем".

По словам Фазели, Тегеран также планирует запустить спутник "Шарифсат" до 20 марта этого года и еще один спутник "Толоо" в ближайшем будущем.

Напомним, 28 января, иранские СМИ сообщили, что власти страны произвели успешный запуск космического аппарата с обезьяной на борту. Ракета-носитель доставила аппарат на высоту более 120 километров, после чего капсула с обезьяной вернулась на землю.

В сообщениях не говорится, откуда был произведен запуск, и куда приземлилась капсула.

Что-то темы про сегодняшний запуск не нашел  - подскажите, а?

                                      Iran to Unveil Aerospace Achievements in Days                  
                           TEHRAN (FNA)- Amir Kabir University of Technology is slated to unveil the two latest aerospace achievements of Iran this week.

The national website of aerospace documents and microsatellite color-imaging project are slated to be unveiled concurrent with holding the 12th Iranian Aerospace Society Conference at Amir Kabir University of Technology on February 19-21.
 
Head of Iran's Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli, Iranian Deputy Defense Minister and Head of Iran's Aerospace Organization General Mehdi Farahi, Managing-Director of the Iranian Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) Manouchehr Manteqi, and Chancellor of Amir Kabir University of Technology Alireza Rahayee will attend the unveiling ceremony.
 
Aerodynamics and propellers, aviation management, flight dynamics and control, space science and technology, aerospace structures and aviation management are among the topics to be discussed in the Iranian Aerospace Society's 12th Conference.
 
Earlier this month, the head of Iran's Space Agency said the country will send new satellites made by Iranian universities to the space in the next few months.
 
"We expect to be able to launch Sharifsat by the end of this (Iranian) year (ends March 20) because the satellite will be delivered to us by Esfand (February 19 - March 20)," Fazeli told FNA, adding that the infrastructure needed for the satellite has already been prepared.
 
Tehran's Sharif University is working to build Sharifsat.

Iran to Send 6 New Home-Made Satellites into Orbit Next Year

TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of Iran's Space Agency Hamid Fazeli announced on Tuesday that the country will send 6 new home-made satellites, mostly made by Iranian universities, to the space in the next Iranian year (starting on March 21).
   

"Based on the foreseen timeline, Fajr, Sharif Sat, Tolou, Zafar, and A-Test will be sent to the space by the end of the next year," Fazeli told reporters in Tehran today.

He said that Mesbah is also among the satellites which will be sent to orbit next year.

Fazeli also announced that Iran will send a home-made satellite named Nahid to the space by the end of the current Iranian year.

Earlier this month, Iran unveiled a prototype model of Nahid telecommunications satellite.

The prototype model was unveiled during a ceremony attended by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi and Fazeli at an exhibition of Iran's latest space achievements and technologies here in the capital.

Also earlier today, President of Iran's Amirkabir University Alireza Rahayee announced that "A-Test and Nahid are ready to be launched and sent into the orbit".

"The engineering model of A-Test satellite has been unveiled and its launch prototype is also ready and we hope that it will be sent into the orbit soon," he added, addressing the 12th conference of Iran's aerospace association in Tehran on Tuesday.

Rahayee also said that studies on satellite Nahid have been carried out in cooperation with the Iranian Space Industry (ISA), adding that the satellite will be ready for launch next year.

In November, Rahayee had announced that researchers at Amirkabir University of Technology had accomplished part of the studies on Satellite Nahid, and said it would be launched into the space with the backing of the Iranian Space Agency (ISA).

Rahayee noted that the industrial phases of the project had accomplished and researchers were now working on the launch phase.

Iran to launch own communications satellite into space

Iran will launch its own communications satellite into space in 5 years, head of country's Space Agency, Hamid Fazeli said, IRIB News reported.

Fazeli said that previously Iran already had a similar project named "Qaem", which never took off the ground.

"we have reconsidered this idea, and made some design and construction modifications," Fazeli said, adding that the new Iranian communications satellite will be lighter than Qaem was initially planned to be.

According to Fazeli, the "Qaem" project would have taken 10 years to complete, while due to modifications made to "IranSat", it will be completed in only 5 years, and will show 5 local channels.

The satellite, which will weigh 250 kilograms, will be sent into a geostationary orbit using a domestically manufactured launcher to transmit radio and television broadcasts and provide telecommunications and internet services, Fazeli said.

Iran plans to use its own satellite to translate local channels, as formerly it was doing so through other broadcasting satellites, as Eutelsat SA and Intelsat SA.

Eutelsat SA and Intelsat SA stopped the broadcast of several Iranian satellite channels last year, citing pressure by the European Union.

Also, the Hong Kong-based Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (AsiaSat) also took all Iranian channels off air in East Asia.

Several months ago, other international communication satellites also took down Iranian channels due to various reasons.

Hamid Fazeli said that Iran plans to send "IranSat" into space via three stages. First one of which would be sending "IranSat 1" into space in two years, then "IranSat 2" will be sent in 1,5 years after that.

"IranSat 1" and "Iran Sat 2" will be sent to space as test objects, while the completed "IranSat 3" satellite will be sent as a completely functioning communication satellite after the testing is complete.

Fazeli noted that satellite's manufacturing and design cost $70 million, launching of the satellites - $30 million, plus additional $40 million for transfering function blocks.
