P6 was the first truss segment to go up, in Dec 2000. The 'old' batteries being replaced today are actually NOT the original ones - P6 already got a battery change in 2009, with batteries delivered on STS-127, and it is those batteries that are being replaced today

At 1339 UTC old battery 0087, having been removed from 2B lost 1, is now 'soft docked' on EP8 slot X. 'soft docked' means it's installed but not bolted down.
