While @AstroAcaba maneuvers into position for the camera install, @AstroKomrade has the less glorious task of dealing with Multilayer Insulation blankets, starting with the MLI removal from a spare Main Bus Switching Unit (MBSU).

These MLI removal tasks will allow external Orbital Replacement Units to be handled by the Dextre robot, potentially eliminating future EVAs as most standard ORU replacements can now be handled robotically.

.@AstroAcaba now in position for the HD camera installation which is quite straightforward: removing the light power cable, sliding the HD cam into its bracket on the SD cam, then patching power through the HD cam to the light.

Астронавты США Рэндольф Брезник и Джозеф Акаба начали выход в открытый космос с борта МКС, помощь в подготовке к работе им оказали американский астронавт Марк Ванде Хай и астронавт ЕКА Паоло Несполи.
 Первоначально он планировался на среду, однако был отложен из-за неполадок с одной из видеокамер на поверхности станции.
В течение 6,5 часа астронавты должны будут заменить блок освещения в телекамере, установленной на дистанционном манипуляторе Canadarm2, а также установить еще одну камеру высокого разрешения на ферме на правом борту станции. Им также предстоит поменять элемент электрооборудования на манипуляторе Dextre и снять термоизоляционное покрытие с двух блоков на поверхности станции.
Как отметила пресс-служба NASA, нынешний выход в космос проводится перед запланированным на 11 ноября запуском космического грузового корабля Cygnus, который через два дня после запуска сблизится с МКС. В этот момент захват грузового корабля будет произведен с помощью дистанционного манипулятора "Канадарм-2".
С 1998 года это будет уже 202-й выход американских астронавтов в космос для работы на поверхности МКС.

Camera Port 3 now has its own, functioning HD Camera, Mission Control confirms. @AstroAcaba being maneuvered back to the truss to get off the arm.
