The payload module of the Koreasat 6A satellite is almost completed, after which it'll be shipped to Thales' Cannes site for mating with the Spacebus-4000B2 platform. Once completed, it will undergo a series of tests to verify it can survive the environments of launch & space.

South Korean TV SBS came to see KORESAT-6A' s payload in @Thales_Alenia_S' clean rooms of Toulouse. Payload to be delivered in Cannes in December. After being integrated to the platform & undergoing numerous tests, the satellite will be launched in 2024 https://bit.ly/46sALf7

The Koreasat 6A satellite will be operated by KT SAT and at 116° East and is expected to weigh approximately 3.500kg at launch. The satellite is scheduled to be launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Florida at the end of 2024.
