Launch Weather Officer Capt. Addison Nichols confirms all conditions remain acceptable for liftoff less than 30 minutes from now. Although the earlier forecasts called for unrestricted visibility, the fog has moved in. Live reports from Vandenberg: http://bit.ly/av_landsat9
Туман полёту - не помеха.

We are now just 10 minutes away from liftoff. This is the 300th Atlas rocket launch to originate from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and the 16th for an #AtlasV rocket from Space Launch Complex-3.

The Centaur continues firing to obtain orbital velocity, burning liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellants, and the telemetry of system status looks good. http://bit.ly/av_landsat9
Пишут - норм!

Blackhavvk

Вроде все ок, слава богу. Но удивительно конечно, не очень понимаю, надо глянуть как работает Атлас.

The first main engine cutoff, or MECO-1, is confirmed for the #AtlasV rocket's Centaur upper stage. The vehicle has reached a sun-synchronous orbit Earth orbit for release of Landsat 9. http://bit.ly/av_landsat9
Движок отработал. ожидают отделение.

zandr

Нет.

We're now beginning an hour-long coast around the world to the other side of the globe to release #Landsat9 while emerging from the Earth's shadow to begin the daylight portion of the orbital pass. Deployment of the observatory will occur at T+plus 1 hour, 20 minutes.

Atlas V launches Landsat 9
  SciNews
A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 401 launch vehicle launched the Landsat 9 Earth-observation satellite into a near-polar, sun-synchronous orbit, from Space Launch Complex-3 at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, on 27 September 2021, at 18:12 UTC (11:12 PDT). Landsat 9 is a joint mission of NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and will join Landsat 8 in orbit, collecting images from across the Earth every eight days.

Here's another view of the Atlas 5 rocket climbing off the SLC-3E launch pad at foggy Vandenberg Space Force Base to begin the Landsat 9 mission.
The Atlas 5's RD-180 engine generated 860,000 pounds of thrust at full throttle.
