 It'll be two launches for the price of one during the next attempt. Japan's H-IIA is the support act before Falcon 9 takes to the stage.

The launch team is finishing up with safing of the Falcon 9 to configure it for another countdown later this week. The transmitters on the EchoStar 23 satellite have also been deactivated.

If SpaceX decides to make another attempt at launching the Falcon 9 rocket Thursday, there is a 90 percent chance of favorable conditions.

Mostly clear skies are predicted Thursday morning, with northerly winds of 15 to 20 mph and a temperature at launch time around 53 degrees Fahrenheit.
