Today's static fire at pad 39A is believed to be set for 7:30 p.m. EST (0030 GMT). Fueling of the Falcon 9 rocket should begin about an hour before ignition, first with RP-1 kerosene fuel and followed by liquid oxygen.

It appears there won't be a hotfire test today at pad 39A. Impact on SpaceX's Sunday morning launch date uncertain. https://spaceflightnow.com/2017/03/06/echostar-23-flight-preps/ ...

It appears there will no static fire attempt today. The fueling and hold-down test fire could be rescheduled as soon as tomorrow.
It is not clear if the delay in the static fire will impact the launch date Sunday morning. Once SpaceX performs the test, the rocket must be returned to the hangar near pad 39A to receive the EchoStar 23 communications satellite it will carry into orbit.

Интересно, они вернутся когда-нибудь к прожигу с установленной ПН?

Это экономит около суток во время подготовки запуска. Клиент может отклонить этот вариант, если они пожелают.

#SpaceX scrubbed yesterday's Static Fire Test due to technical issues. Next attempt is today. The test window extends from 1800-0000 Est.

Same Static Fire window for the Falcon 9 on Wednesday - opens at 6pm Eastern. Strict window due to KSC roadblocks and EOC activation times.

The Falcon 9 is horizontal on the pad. You're looking at the butt end.

SpaceX lowered the Falcon 9 rocket last night, and it remains horizontal at this hour as officials prepare for a possible static fire attempt this evening.

The test window opens at 6 p.m. EST (2300 GMT) and extends for six hours.

Meanwhile, the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket with the EchoStar 23 communications satellite remains set for early Sunday, with blastoff set for 12:34 a.m. EST (0534 GMT) at the opening of a two-and-a-half hour launch window.

The launch window spans the switch to Daylight Saving Time in on the U.S. East Coast.

The U.S. Air Force has issued the first official weather forecast for this weekend's mission, calling for mostly cloudy skies and a 70 percent chance of acceptable conditions early Sunday morning.

"On Friday, the next system to impact the Space Coast gets organized over Texas," the forecast team at the 45th Weather Squadron wrote on today's outlook. "This new low pressure system will bring upper-level clouds into the (Florida) Panhandle by Saturday evening. As the system moves into the Gulf Coast States during the launch window Sunday, the clouds will begin encroaching over the area."

The primary weather concern is violating the thick cloud layer rule, according to the Air Force.

The outlook calls for isolated rain showers, scattered clouds at 3,000 feet, broken clouds at 22,000 feet, southeast winds at 15 to 20 mph, and a launch time temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

There is a backup launch opportunity available early Tuesday morning, March 14, when there is again a 70 percent chance of favorable weather conditions.

There are signs that the target launch date for SpaceX's launch of the EchoStar 23 communications satellite is being delayed from Sunday. Managers have not set an official new launch date.

SpaceX had reserved March 14 for a backup launch opportunity, so that will be the next chance for the mission to blast off from pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, assuming the launcher and payload are ready.

A cherry picker is visible hovering above the Falcon 9 rocket laying horizontal at the launch pad, presumably to enable inspections or other work on the booster.

A hotfire of the rocket's nine Merlin 1D engines originally scheduled for yesterday was rescheduled for today, but there has been no indication that the test, a critical preflight milestone, will go forward today.

SpaceX officials declined comment.

Here's a view of pad 39A and the Falcon 9 rocket earlier today taken by CBS News' William Harwood.
