TOUCHDOWN! The Soyuz MS-02 capsule has landed in Kazakhstan, capping the 173-day voyage of Russian cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov, flight engineer Andrey Borisenko and NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough to the International Space Station on Expeditions 49 and 50, a mission that traveled more than 73.2 million miles and logged 2,768 orbits of the planet.

The Soyuz capsule is confirmed to have tipped over on its side after landing on the Kazakh steppe, a normal condition. The landing time was 1120 GMT (7:20 a.m. EDT).

Russian cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov, the Soyuz commander, is first to exit the Soyuz spacecraft. Ryzhikov, 42, is a former Russian Air Force fighter pilot and just completed his first spaceflight and now has logged 173 days in orbit.
