DPRK to launch application satellite next month

PYONGYANG, March 16 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is to launch in mid-April a working satellite, Kwangmyongsong-3, manufactured by itself with indigenous technology to mark the 100th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the official news agency KCNA reported Friday.

A spokesman for the Korean Committee for Space Technology, who announced this in a statement Friday, said the expected launch, scheduled between April 12 and 16, is in line with the government's policy for space development and peaceful use, said the report.

"The DPRK will strictly abide by relevant international regulations and usage concerning the launch of scientific and technological satellites for peaceful purposes and ensure maximum transparency, thereby contributing to promoting international trust and cooperation in the field of space scientific researches and satellite launches," said the statement.

After successfully launching two experimental satellites, the DPRK scientists and technicians have steadily conducted scientific researches to develop and utilize working satellites indispensable for the country's economic development, said the statement.

Through the researches they have made a drastic progress in the field of space science and technology and laid solid material and technological foundations for working satellite launches and operation, it added.

It is reported that Kwangmyongsong-3, a polar-orbiting earth observation satellite, will be lifted by carrier rocket Unha-3 and blast off southward from the Sohae Satellite Launching Station in Cholsan County, North Phyongan Province.

A safe flight orbit has been chosen so that carrier rocket debris to be generated during the flight would not have any impact on neighboring countries.

According to the KCNA, the upcoming launch will greatly encourage the army and people of the DPRK in the building of a thriving nation and will offer an important occasion of putting the country's technology of space use "for peaceful purposes on a higher stage."

КНДР не собирается отменять запуск спутника из-за опасений мирового сообщества

КНДР подвергла резкой критике США, Японию и Южную Корею за распространение "неправдоподобных слухов" о предстоящем в апреле в нарушение резолюции СБ ООН "испытанием ракеты большой дальности", что якобы представляет "угрозу для безопасности на Корейском полуострове и во всей Северо-Восточной Азии".

Такие заявления, отмечает сегодня агентство ЦТАК, в Пхеньяне расценивают как "попытки лишить КНДР возможности использовать космическое пространство в мирных целях, что является законным правом каждого суверенного государства". "Околоземное пространство нельзя превратить во владение определенных стран", - подчеркивает агентство. Поэтому США, Япония и Южная Корея заблуждаются, полагая, что КНДР "отменит запланированный на апрель запуск спутника "Кванмёнсон-3", "созданного на основе собственных технологий", указывает ЦТАК. Космический аппарат будет запущен "в соответствии с правительственной политикой в области мирного использования космоса в целях экономического развития страны".

КНДР, отмечается в сообщении агентства, "направила все необходимые сведения" о предстоящем запуске в соответствующие международные организации. Кроме того, комитет КНДР по космическим исследованиям "намерен пригласить опытных зарубежных экспертов в этой области, а также журналистов для наблюдения за запуском спутника".

Ранее было объявлено, что запуск спутника будет осуществлен с космодрома в уезде Чолсан в провинции Пхёнян-пукто в период с 12 по 16 апреля "в мирных целях" в честь 100-летия со дня рождения основателя КНДР Ким Ир Сена.

Да в принципе трассу на ССО проложить можно, Китай за Тайвань много шуметь не будет. Только хватит ли энергетики.

Так что ставлю опять на 90 град азимут. Точка старта теперь на западной границы С.Кореи, до Японии более 1200 км

При стартовой массе за 70т (ВИКИ при плохом раскладе я бы предположил кил пятьдесят. Хотя тут не угадаешь - вон вдвое бОльшая КСЛВ 100 кил вытаскивает - но это одноступ
А трасса на 96 у меня получилась такая



Если вторую ступень аккуратно положить, то все проходит.
Хочу заметить, что с полигона Мусудан-ни это не пройдет - южнокорейцы шибко возмутятся.

А если перед пуском по космодрому отбомбятся? Так сказать "в рамках выполнения резолюции ООН № 1718 и 1874 был предотвращён пуск баллистической ракеты с территории КНДР. К сожалению, не смотря на наши предложения не посещать данный пуск на космодроме находилось несколько журналистов из России. Приносим свои соболезнования родственникам погибших".

KCNA Reports about Preparations for Satellite Launch

Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency issued the following report on Saturday:

The relevant bodies of the DPRK sent necessary information to the International Civil Aviation Organization, the International Maritime Organization, the International Telecommunication Union and others according to international regulations and procedures as part of the preparations for the launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-3.

The Korean Committee for Space Technology will invite experienced foreign experts on space science and technology and journalists to visit the Sohae Satellite Launching Station, the General Satellite Control and Command Centre and other places and observe its launch.

Launch of Satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 Is Legitimate Right of DPRK: KCNA

Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- Some forces are letting loose a spate of gossip as regards the launch of Kwangmyongsong-3, an earth observation satellite manufactured by the DPRK by its own efforts and with its indigenous technology.

The hostile forces including the U.S., Japan and south Korea let loose outbursts that it will be a "missile launch", "a serious provocative act of threatening the peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia" and "a violation of the UNSC 'resolution'."

This is, in a nutshell, a base move to deny the DPRK's right to use space for peaceful purposes and encroach upon its sovereignty as it is typical of the hostile policy toward it.

The peaceful development and use of space is a universally recognized legitimate right of a sovereign state. The satellite launch for scientific researches into the peaceful development and use of space and economic development can by no means be a monopoly of specified countries.

As a matter of fact, many countries and regions of the world are deepening scientific researches in the use of outer space and putting them into practice at present, the age of latest science and technology.

Growing strong with each passing day is the international trend of energetically pushing forward the manufacture and launch of satellites and joining in it.

The DPRK's satellite launch is a matter pertaining to the sovereignty of the sovereign state.

As the DPRK has already clarified, Kwangmyogsong-3 is a precious result of scientific researches conducted by scientists and technicians of the DPRK in order to develop and utilize working satellites indispensable for the country's economic development, pursuant to the government's policy for the peaceful development and use of space.

When the DPRK launched two experimental satellites, it strictly abided by relevant international regulations and practice.

As regards the projected launch of the working satellite, the DPRK sent necessary information to the relevant international bodies according to international regulations and procedures and expressed the will to invite experts and journalists of other countries to view the launching station.

This being a hard reality, the hostile forces are vying with each other to find fault with the DPRK's projected legitimate satellite launch. This is a move to step up their hostile policy towards the DPRK as it is a sinister and deliberate anti-peace action aimed at provocations.

Moreover, the U.S., Japan and south Korea have neither justification nor face to talk about someone's satellite launch.

It is the U.S. that is hell-bent on espionage against sovereign states with the help of so many spy satellites in the space. Japan is rushing headlong into launching spy satellites and establishing its own system of space espionage, dreaming of a military giant. South Korea was shameful to have failed twice in its attempt to launch a satellite entirely with other's help. South Korea has neither justification nor face to chide someone's satellite launch.

The hostile forces are persistently insisting that the DPRK's satellite launches are "missile threats" and "provocations" because they consider its dignity, might and scientific progress as a thorn in their flesh.

Explicitly speaking, no one can tolerate the double yardstick and double standards in the issue of satellite manufacture and launch.

The hostile forces are sadly mistaken if they think the DPRK will cancel the already projected satellite launch due to some forces' accusations over the above-said matter.

Intolerable are the dastardly acts to use the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes as a lever for political, military and economic pressure upon it.

No one has the right to take issue with the DPRK's projected satellite launch this or that way.
