The LVM3-M5 / BlueBird #6 mission is now set to lift off in May!

It will place the first satellite of AST SpaceMobile (🇺🇸)'s BlueBird Block-2 constellation into Low Earth Orbit.

The L110 and C25 stages of the LVM3-M5 vehicle have already reached ISRO-SHAR.

Подтверждение от ISRO про пуск в августе несомненно порадует тех, кто надеется на успех AST.

Пока нет никаких подтверждений тому, что экспериментальный спутник FM1 (первый BlueBird Block 2) отправлен в Индию. AST просили FCC выдать разрешение на запуск к 11 июля, чтобы пуск был возможен в августе. И как раз 11 июля они получили долгожданный STA.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is hoping to launch the Block 2 BlueBird communications satellite, developed by the U.S.-based AST SpaceMobile, in three to four months from now, chairman of the space agency V. Narayanan said in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Friday (August 1, 2025).

Запуск ожидается в Q4 2025. Если трактовать буквально, то в ноябре.

Никаких сообщений об отправке спутника в Индию за прошедшие две недели так и не появилось. Если они и сейчас свой спутник не отправляют, то зачем же тогда они в марте просили FCC срочно (готовы были доплатить за срочность) выдать лицензию в апреле, чтобы запустить в мае?

AST указали в ODAR полную массу спутника 5850 кг, включая 20 кг ксенона. Либо Mr. Narayanan ошибся, либо (что более вероятно) привёл массу спутника вместе с Launch Vehicle Adaptor, который останется на верхней ступени LVM3 после отделения спутника.
Запускать будут на круговую орбиту 520 км с наклонением 53°.

AST SpaceMobile's Bluebird 6 satellite launching on the LVM3-M6 mission has completed final assembly & testing and is set to be delivered to ISRO on 12 October!
Currently the launch of LVM3-M6 is planned in December-January. It'll be the 2nd LVM3 launch in upcoming months.

Получается, что после запуска CMS-02 (GSAT-7R) на LVM3-M5, следующим полетит BlueBird Block 2 (aka FM1) LVM3-M6, а GaganYaan G1 уже потом.
Наверное стоит исправить название темы.

Вероятно FM2  полетит в одиночестве. Если SpaceX к нему попутчиков не добавят. Масса у него, как и у FM1 - 5850 кг, включая 20 кг ксенона.

Самый большой означает:

• масса : 5850 кг,  включая 20 кг ксенона
• площадь ФАР : 199 м²
• общая площадь : 229 м²

BENGALURU: ISRO will launch the heaviest US commercial communication low-earth orbit satellite, BlueBird-6, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on December 15.
AST SpaceMobiles Inc, a Texas-based company that has built the space-based cellular broadband network, on Saturday announced this.
"BlueBird-6, a US licensed satellite, is scheduled to launch on December 15. It is the first of AST SpaceMobile's next-generation satellites. When launched, it will feature the largest commercial phased array in low earth orbit at nearly 2,400 sqft. This represents a 3.5 times increase in size over BlueBirds 1-5 and supports ten times the data capacity," AST SpaceMobiles said.
ISRO's Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3) rocket, popularly called as Bahubali, will put this satellite into its orbit. The launch is being handled by New Space India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO, which aims at earning revenue for the government through international launch contracts and partnerships. LVM-3 also put India's heaviest CMS-3 satellite, weighing 4.4 tonnes, into its orbit on November 2.
The 6.5-tonne BlueBird-6 satellite, arrived in India on October 19 from the US. It was later transported by road to Sriharikotta for integration with launcher LVM3, fuelling and final checks ahead of its launch.
With the launch of this satellite, space researchers of the mission aim to provide direct-to-device mobile broadband connectivity, fast and unhindered communication and bridge the digital gap with poor terrestrial networks. With this launch, AST SpaceMobiles will become the second satellite broadband customer to fly on LVM3 after Eutelsat OneWeb, the researchers said.
LVM3 is a three-stage 45.5-metre heavy lift vehicle with a lift-off mass of 640 tonnes. It is capable of placing heavy satellites in the designated orbits of 600km altitude.
