Launcher and satellite preparations continue for Ariane 5's mission with EUTELSAT 65 West A

Ariane 5 moves fr om the Launcher Integration Building to the Final Assembly Building, riding on one of two mobile launch tables for the heavy-lift vehicle. The second launch table is visible in the foreground, at right, awaiting Arianespace's subsequent Ariane 5 mission.
The preparations for Arianespace's second Ariane 5 launch of 2016 are continuing for a March 9 liftoff from French Guiana, with the heavy-lift vehicle now transferred to the Spaceport's Final Assembly Building, and its EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite payload undergoing its fueling.

EUTELSAT 65 West A is fueled in the Spaceport's S5 satellite preparation facility.

Designated Flight VA229 in Arianespace's launcher family numbering system, the mission has a lift performance estimated at 6,764 kg. – which includes the 6,615 kg. mass of EUTELSAT 65 West A, along with the hardware used for this single-payload's integration on the Ariane 5.
EUTELSAT 65 West A will be 31st satellite launched by Arianespace for the Paris, France-based Eutelsat, which supplies satellite capacity and services for video, data and broadband applications.
After Ariane 5's delivery to geostationary transfer orbit, the SSL-built (Space Systems Loral) satellite will be maneuvered to an orbital slot of 65 deg. West, wh ere it will serve expanding markets in Brazil and across Latin America. EUTELSAT 65 West A combines broad coverage in C- and Ku-bands for video distribution, cellular backhaul and direct-to-home broadcasting with a high throughput payload for broadband access in the Ka-band.
Flight VA229 is part of Arianespace's busy launch manifest for 2016. The company is targeting as many as eight missions utilizing the Ariane 5, with other flights performed by the medium-lift Soyuz and lightweight Vega.

EUTELSAT 65 West A begins its launcher hardware integration for Arianespace's next Ariane 5 mission

The launch campaign for Arianespace's upcoming Ariane 5 mission from French Guiana has entered its latest phase of preparations, with the flight's EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite passenger now integrated on the initial launcher hardware

During activity in the Spaceport's S5 payload preparation facility at French Guiana, EUTELSAT 65 West A is installed atop the adapter that is to serve as the interface with its Ariane 5 launch vehicle.

This milestone occurred with the relay satellite's installation atop a cone-shaped adapter that will serve as its interface when mated to the launch vehicle. The activity took place in the Spaceport's S5 payload preparation facility, and is to be followed by EUTELSAT 65 West A's transfer to the Ariane 5 Final Assembly Building for integration with the launcher.
Liftoff of Ariane 5 with the 6,615-kg. EUTELSAT 65 West A telecommunications platform is set for March 9 on Arianespace Flight VA229 – the 229th mission with an Ariane family launch vehicle.
To be deployed into geostationary transfer orbit by Ariane 5, the SSL-built (Space Systems Loral) satellite will subsequently operate from an orbital slot of 65 deg. West to serve expanding markets in Brazil and across Latin America.  EUTELSAT 65 West A combines broad coverage in C- and Ku-bands for video distribution, cellular backhaul and direct-to-home broadcasting with a high-throughput payload for broadband access in the Ka-band.
Flight VA229 will carry the 31st satellite launched by Arianespace for the Paris, France-based Eutelsat, which supplies satellite capacity and services for video, data and broadband applications

Integration is complete for Arianespace's Ariane 5 flight with the EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite

Arianespace's second Ariane 5 for launch in 2016 is "standing tall" in French Guiana after the installation of this mission's EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite passenger atop the heavy-lift vehicle at the Spaceport.

This photo, taken in Spaceport Final Assembly Building's upper level, shows the payload fairing being lowered over EUTELSAT 65 West A, which has been installed on its Ariane 5 launcher.

During activity in the Spaceport's Final Assembly Building, EUTELSAT 65 West A was mated to Ariane 5 and encapsulated inside the launcher's ogive-shaped payload fairing, enabling final integration checkout to begin today. It clears the way for a launch readiness review on Friday, March 4, to be followed by the launch vehicle's rollout on Monday March 7, leading to an early morning liftoff from the ELA-3 launch zone on March 9.
Ariane 5 will deploy the 6,615-kg. EUTELSAT 65 West A into geostationary transfer orbit during a mission lasting 27 minutes. This spacecraft was built by SSL and is to operate from a geostationary orbital slot of 65 deg. West, providing relay capacity for the Paris-based Eutelsat to expanding markets in Brazil and across Latin America.
Arianespace's upcoming mission is one of 12 liftoffs planned in 2016 by the launch services provider, using its complete launcher family composed of the heavy-lift Ariane 5, medium-lift Soyuz and lightweight Vega.

Ariane 5 moves to the launch zone for Arianespace's second heavy-lift mission in 2016

Riding atop a mobile launch table, Ariane 5 is shown during its transfer fr om the Spaceport's Final Assembly Building – where this heavy-lift vehicle received its EUTELSAT 65 West A payload – to the ELA-3 launch zone.

Arianespace has delivered another Ariane 5 to the launch zone at Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, positioning this workhorse vehicle for its March 9 early morning mission with the EUTELSAT 65 West A relay satellite.

The launcher rolled out today fr om the Spaceport's Final Assembly Building to the ELA-3 launch zone at this near-equatorial facility – wh ere Ariane 5 is scheduled for liftoff during a three-hour window that opens Wednesday at 2:20 a.m. local time in French Guiana.
Ariane 5's transfer followed the successful launch readiness review that validated the "go" status of the heavy-lift vehicle and its single payload, along with the Spaceport's infrastructure and the network of tracking stations that will follow the flight.
The upcoming flight on March 9 is designated VA229 in Arianespace's numbering system, signifying the 229th mission of an Ariane-series vehicle to date. Its total payload lift performance is estimated at 6,707 kg., with EUTELSAT 65 West A – which was built by SSL for Paris-based operator Eutelsat Communications, and has a liftoff mass of 6,564 kg. – being deployed to geostationary transfer orbit during a rapid flight sequence of 27 minutes.
After its release by Ariane 5, EUTELSAT 65 West A will be maneuvered to an orbital slot of 65 deg. West, wh ere it is to serve expanding markets in Brazil and across Latin America. The spacecraft combines broad coverage in C- and Ku-bands for video distribution, cellular backhaul and direct-to-home broadcasting with a high throughput payload for broadband access in the Ka-band.
As the second Ariane 5 flight so far in 2016, this week's launch with EUTELSAT 65 West A will continue a busy year of mission activity for Arianespace's full family of launchers – with a combined total of 12 liftoffs planned using the heavy-lift Ariane 5, medium-lift Soyuz and lightweight Vega.

Можно и нужно поздравить, но уж очень надежно, скучно смотреть, ни возвращаемых ступеней с точным попаданием в баржу, ни взрывов ....(шутка однако).
