Prometheus 2 are two 6U CubeSat which will provide a test platform for monitoring radio signals including GPS and sophisticated imaging, paving the way for a more collaborative and connected space communication system with allied partners. Built by In-Space Missions Ltd, based in Hampshire, and designed with Airbus Defence and Space, Prometheus-2 is a collaboration between the UK Ministry of Defence and international partners, including the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

IOD-AMBER (IOD 3)
The AMBER payload will be able to locate and track vessels worldwide by picking up their RF emissions using the L-Band Sat Phone detection sensor package derived from Horizon Technologies' existing FlyingFish™ system, combined with X and S-Band sensors and an AIS receiver to detect, geolocate, and correlate these signals against the presence of AIS beacons. IOD-AMBER or IOD 3 is a British 6U-CubeSat carrying an experimental payload for Horizon Technologies.

Kernow Sat 1 will be the first satellite designed, manufactured and launched in Cornwall. The Government funding will be used for the research, design and build of CubeSat Kernow Sat 1. The research will be undertaken by the University of Exeter who will be running a think tank with experts in the marine field to establish the exact data requirements to effectively research and implement activities surrounding the health of Cornwall's coasts and associated economy.

ForgeStar-0, a small satellite from Space Forge will be the first satellite developed in Wales and will aim to further develop the technologies and techniques for dedicated manufacturing in space, along with reliable return testing, the satellite will enable the study of microgravity, vacuum and temperature, to create products impossible to manufacture on Earth.

Речь идет о двух микроспутниках, которые используются для мониторинга за различными объектами посредством радиосигналов и датчиков изображения. Спутники были разработаны консорциумом Airbus Defense and Space и изготовлены английской компанией In-Space Missions Ltd в рамках сотрудничества военного ведомства Великобритании с международными партнерами, включая Национальное управление военно-космической разведки США.
Сам запуск в ходе миссии Prometheus-2 будет осуществлен с территории аэропорта Ньюки на юго-западе Англии. Компания планирует запустить миссию Start Me Up со своего самолёта-стартовой площадки Cosmic Girl, который взлетит с аэродрома Корнуолл в Великобритании. Запуск планируется в ноябре этого года.

Миссия получила название в честь хита британской группы Rolling Stones - Start Me Up, который дебютировал на альбоме Tattoo You 1981 года, а затем был выпущен в сборнике Virgin Records.

Cosmic Girl уже прибыла в аэропорт для подготовки к миссии, ракета LauncherOne для этой миссии скоро будет доставлена туда из Калифорнии. Технически запуск будет произведён южнее Ирландии над Атлантическим океаном. Интересно, что в будущем компания хочет спасать 1-ю ступень для повторного использования, таким образом, район спасения будет находиться между Пиренейским полуостровом и Азорами.

Миссия запустит 9 кубсатов в интересах Космического агентства Великобритании, Космического командования Великобритании, КС Омана, КС США и NRO. Космические аппараты будут тестировать новые средства навигации, возможность производства материалов прямо на орбите с возвратом образцов на Землю, изучать ионосферу Земли, собирать информацию о морских перевозках и обеспечивать функции безопасности.

Partners for the United Kingdom's first orbital launch announced today that the initial window for the historic Start Me Up mission will officially open on Monday, 9 January at 22:16 UTC with additional back-up dates continuing into mid and late January. Start Me Up is a collaborative effort between the United Kingdom Space Agency (UKSA), Cornwall Council, the Royal Air Force, and Virgin Orbit.

The Start Me Up mission will carry satellites from seven customers to space, including commercial and government payloads from several nations and a collaborative US-UK mission.

The LauncherOne system that will conduct the mission is now mated to its carrier aircraft, a Boeing 747 dubbed Cosmic Girl, at Spaceport Cornwall. Yesterday morning, Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne system successfully completed an end-to-end launch rehearsal, taking the integrated system through to the loading of propellants and proceeding through terminal count, resulting in the verification of the health of the system and readiness of the team.
