T-minus 45 minutes. Today's liftoff is timed for 2:19:25 p.m. EDT (1819:25 GMT).

Around 61 minutes after launch, the Falcon 9 rocket will deploy the 60 Starlink satellites into near-circular transfer orbit ranging between 172 miles (278 kilometers) and 162 miles (261 kilometers), with an inclination of 53 degrees.

The satellites will use their ion thrusters to maneuver into their higher orbit for testing, before finally proceeding to an operational orbit at an altitude of approximately 341 miles (550 kilometers).

SpaceX has not started loading propellant into the Falcon 9 rocket at the Kennedy Space Center. This suggests launch of 60 more Starlink satellites won't happen during today's instantaneous window.

F9/Starlink13: The Falcon 9 does not appear to be venting as one would normally expect if propellant loading was underway; no word from SpaceX on launch status

SpaceX отменила намеченный на 17 сентября запуск новой группировки спутников Starlink

Ok, here's my estimate as to what today's #Starlink trajectory will look like (green/blue) compared to the usual Starlink trajectory (pink/purple). Thread.

If you're doing a S2 restart, all of your launch energy should go sideways and you sacrifice some altitude for that (1/n)

1 ч. назад

Since you don't care so much about altitude, S1 will hit apogee lower than usual, and will re-enter sooner than usual. Entry burn is due to happen ~20s earlier, and landing about the same. I used these hints to mold this profile (2/n)

1 ч. назад

Another hint is that when doing a second stage restart, SpaceX tends to aim for a lowest point of ~165km

S2 restart is happening less than 1/2 of an orbit around, which means S2 will still be gaining altitude at SECO; it may even be suborbital. So I SECO'd at 175km to compromise

1 ч. назад

The restart is only 2s long. In my sim, I only needed to use ~1.4 of those seconds to circularise at minimum throttle. I think that's fine, considering SpaceX don't supply decimal places in their press kits

(4/n)

Big change in Stage 1 profile here. Hopefully this pays off and the FC telemetry on @Erdayastronaut's stream matches with the video.

Entry and landing burn both 20s sooner than usual 😬 😬 😬

Wish me luck 🍀

Trying to avoid speculation but... Ms. Tree made an unexpected diversion to NC before SpaceX tweeted launch date confirmation yesterday.

The scrub-worthy issue could be related to something else such as earlier bad weather preventing teams from preparing the droneship in time.

Standing down from tomorrow's launch of Starlink due to severe weather in the recovery area, which is likely to persist for a couple days. Will announce a new target launch date once confirmed
