They will walk across the access arm to the white room, where the Dragon capsule is ready for boarding.

At this time, the astronauts should be climbing into the Crew Dragon spacecraft through the ship's side hatch. They will strap in and perform their initial checks inside the capsule before SpaceX halts today's simulated countdown before the start of propellant loading.

Then Hurley and Behnken will exit the spacecraft and ride in the Tesla SUV back to crew quarters at the Operations and Checkout Building.

Скафандры - какие то киношные, как будто со съёмочных площадок Голливуда. Самые симпатичные были на Аполлонах, с цельнопрозрачным шлемом.

А эти ... Ни на одном фото не видно чтоб к ним подключались какие-либо коммуникации. Оч странные "спортивные  костюмы", при всём уважении к СпэйсХ

Today at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley participated in a countdown dress rehearsal of the launch day events. The crewmates are preparing to launch aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft on the company's Falcon 9 rocket and fly to the International Space Station. Demo-2 will be the first crewed mission for the agency's Commercial Crew Program.

Behnken and Hurley began their day in the Astronaut Crew Quarters inside Kennedy's Neil A. Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building. The pair put on their black-and-white SpaceX spacesuits, took the elevator down to the ground level and exited through a pair of double doors, where their transport vehicle – a Tesla Model X — waited. With smiles and waves, they climbed in for the 20-minute ride to Launch Complex 39A.

The Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft have been in place on the launch pad since Thursday morning, May 21. Behnken and Hurley entered the Crew Dragon by way of the pad's Crew Access Arm and checked their communications systems before the hatch was closed. The rehearsal concluded with the go/no-go poll for Falcon 9 propellant loading, which normally occurs 45 minutes before launch.

The U.S. Air Force 45th Weather Squadron are predicting a 40% chance of favorable weather conditions for the SpaceX Demo-2 mission.  Launch is scheduled at 4:33 p.m. EDT Wednesday, May 27, from Launch Pad 39A. The primary weather concerns for launch are flight through precipitation, thick and cumulus clouds.

A strong high pressure ridge near Bermuda is creating east winds across Central Florida today. This flow may create morning coastal showers, but the cells will be inland of the Spaceport by the time they can develop into thunderstorms.  A low pressure area moving off the mid-Atlantic states stalls as it nudges into the ridge. Tomorrow, the low pressure area will weaken the ridge enough to allow an increase in moisture along its western periphery and into South Florida. Monday will see the clouds infiltrate the Space Coast as the ridge fully breaks down. Easterly winds will increase as a low pressure area develops over the Gulf of Mexico. Rain showers will be prevalent off and on all day. Tuesday will continue the cloudy, rainy conditions over the Spaceport. On launch day, continued extensive cloudiness is expected with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms expected throughout the day.

Astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken donned their SpaceX-made launch and entry flight suits Saturday, May 23, and rode to pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in a final dress rehearsal before launch day.

They rode in a Tesla SUV with the license plate "ISSBND" — noting the crew's destination of the International Space Station.

This video shows the astronauts suiting up for the dress rehearsal, traveling to pad 39A, and boarding the Crew Dragon spacecraft.

Dragon recovery ship GO Searcher has arrived at Pensacola and is now docked at Naval Air Station.

The ship will be stationed in the area for the Demo-2 launch in case Dragon needs to abort from orbit and the Gulf of Mexico is chosen for splashdown.

Больше всего в дизайне новых скафандров раздражают выпендрежные толи "кавалерийские" толи  "дачные резиновые" сапоги ...    А вообще  скафандры для Драгона действительно в основном просто костюм "автогонщиков форулы-1" основная функция которых защитить  от ударов при тряске . (Впрочем коммуникации с внешней СЖО все-же  есть но вот полное отсутствие  зеркальных  светофильтров непривычно  )
По другим моделям:
1 Шаттлы  были полувоенным и частично атмосферным проектом и это сказывалось  на дизайне "летных" скафандров.
2 Скафандры Аполо явно заточены на пиар и частично слизаны с наших .
3 Наши просто "на воду дуют" (единственная реальная катастрофа с разгерметизацией была именно у нас ) давая полную вакуум-плотную защиту для длительной разгерметизации и возможно даже кратковременного выхода в космос.(Для перехода на станцию или другой корабль без стыковки )

А вообще  скафандры для Драгона действительно просто костюм "автогонщиков форулы-1" основная функция которых защитить  от ударов при тряске .

Мое сугубо частное мнение по дизайн важен он или нет.

Мне лично вообще не важно, главное что бы выполняло функцию, но я не большинство.
Люди готовы платить больше за красивый дизайн, красивым людям больше платят на работе, чаще берут на работу.

Самый для нас близкий пример как дизайн превозмог содержание.
В СССР был культ у части людей поклонения фашистам во многом потому что у них форма красивая,
не то что эти как их там, в мешок какой то одеты. А вон посмотрите фашисты то какие красивые.
"К началу 1930-х годов стремление сделать внешний вид военной формы более респектабельным привело нацистов к сотрудничеству с молодой компанией «Хьюго Босс» («Hugo Boss»)" и тд и тп.

Если человек на голову не силен то блестки ему очень важны.

Маск вынужден выживать в суровой борьбе с боингами которые сидят в приемных конгресменов и генералов уже десятки лет.
Его оружие это массовый пиар, а что любят массы ? шоу, красивый дизайн, отсылки ! отсылки к кино например.

Как бы лично я не относился к дизайну, мы живем в таком мире где дизайн так же важен как ТТХ продукта.

PS хайп сейчас тоже интересный инструмент. кибертрак такой уродливый и необычный что бесплатно его фото опубликовали все паблики от Зимбабве до России.

За надежность скафандров не переживаю ))
НАСА и Боинг уверены затягивали ПСИ как могли ))) все проверенно на тысячу раз.

Ибо план НАСА был изначальных тормозить СпХ и отправить Боинг первыми.

А вообще  скафандры для Драгона действительно просто костюм "автогонщиков форулы-1" основная функция которых защитить  от ударов при тряске . 
По другим моделям:

У автогоночных костюмов (я сужу по формульным сериям) практически единственная задача быть огнеупорными (и при этом дышащими).
 

Я в основном про дизайн шлема (единственной явно жесткой части скафандра ).

Больше похожи на оранжевые морские спасательные костюмы, типа как у подводников. Но тут, как говорится - дело вкуса.
