ЦитироватьIndia's PSLV-C47 successfully launched Cartosat-3 and 13 commercial nanosatellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.

PSLV-C47 lifted-off at 0928Hrs (IST) on November 27, 2019 from the Second Launch Pad of SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. PSLV-C46 was the 74th launch vehicle mission from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. This is the 21st flight of PSLV in 'XL' configuration (with 6 solid strap-on motors).

About 17 minutes and 38 seconds after lift-off, Cartosat-3 was injected into an orbit of 509 km at an inclination of 97.5 degree to the equator.

Cartosat-3 satellite is a third generation agile advanced satellite having high resolution imaging capability.

13 Commercial Nanosatellites from USA were also successfully injected into designated orbit. These satellites were launched under commercial arrangement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

PSLV-C47 successfully launches Cartosat-3 and 13 Commercial nanosatellites into Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit

Today, India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, in its forty ninth flight (PSLV-C47), successfully launched Cartosat-3 along with 13 Nanosatellites of USA from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.

PSLV-C47 lifted-off at 0928 Hrs (IST) from the Second Launch Pad. After 17 minutes and 38 seconds, Cartosat-3 was successfully injected into a sun synchronous orbit of 509 km. Subsequently, the 13 nanosatellites were injected into their intended orbits. After separation, solar arrays of Cartosat-3 were deployed automatically and the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network at Bengaluru assumed control of the satellite. In the coming days, the satellite will be brought to its final operational configuration.

"Cartosat-3 is the most complex and advanced earth observation satellite built by ISRO."

Dr Sivan said. He further added that it was a third generation agile advanced satellite having high resolution imaging capability.

The mission life of the Cartosat-3 is 5 years. Cartosat-3 will address the increased user's demands for large scale urban planning, rural resource and infrastructure development, coastal land use and land cover, etc.

ISRO Chairman Dr K Sivan congratulated and complimented the launch vehicle and satellite teams involved in the mission. He also acknowledged the support from Indian Industry.

PSLV-C47 was the 21st flight of PSLV in 'XL' configuration (with 6 solid strap-on motors). This was the 74th launch vehicle mission from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota and 9th satellite of Cartosat series.

About 5000 visitors witnessed the launch live from the Viewer's Gallery in Sriharikota.

A Successful Launch For Flock 4p On The PSLV
Mike Safyan | November 26, 2019

Today, 12 SuperDove satellites (Flock 4p) were successfully launched and deployed into a 500 kilometer Sun Synchronous Orbit by India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). This marks 25 successful launches for Planet and our 407th satellite launch attempt.

Shortly thereafter, Planet's Mission Operations team successfully made contact with all twelve satellites and initiated the satellite phasing and commissioning process, continuing Planet's long standing record of 100 percent success rate in contacting each Dove satellite after launch. The Flock 4p satellites are now undergoing detumbling maneuvers, various subsystem health checks, solar panel deployments, and calibration of their imagery systems.

Planeteers watch the successful launch of 12 SuperDoves from Planet HQ in San Francisco, CA

The Planet team watched the live stream of the launch from our offices in San Francisco, Berlin, and Washington DC as we welcomed the latest batch of SuperDoves to the world's largest fleet of Earth imaging satellites. As has been customary for every Planet launch date since Dove 1, pancakes were served for good luck. Although true credit for today's success goes to our partners at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), NewSpace India Limited (NSL), ISILAUNCH and Planet's amazing Space Systems team.

Ad astra! And stay tuned for Planet's next launch scheduled in the coming months.
