T-minus 60 minutes. Filling of the Electron rocket at Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand started a few hours ago. The countdown remains on schedule for liftoff at 1212 GMT (8:12 a.m. EDT).

Today's mission will target the deployment of four satellites into a 335-mile-high (540-kilometer) orbit with an inclination of 45 degrees to the equator.

T-minus 24 minutes. Four satellites are stowed inside the Electron rocket's payload fairing for today's mission.

  • BlackSky Global 4: The largest of the payloads is the fourth spacecraft in Seattle-based BlackSky Global's fleet of Earth-imaging microsatellites. The 123-pound (56-kilogram) spacecraft can capture up to 1,000 color images per day, with a resolution of about 3 feet (1 meter). The BlackSky Global 4 satellite joins three satellites already in the company's fleet.
  • Pearl White: Two six-unit CubeSats for U.S. Air Force Space Command's "Pearl White" program will test new propulsion, power, communications and drag control technologies in orbit.
  • BRO-ONE: A French startup named UnSeenLabs will launch its first satellite on today's mission. The BRO-ONE mission is the first spacecraft in a planned constellation of CubeSats for maritime surveillance.
