Greetings!
I am looking for references (other than Mark Wade's site) for Chelomei's LKS. I have seen both a "twin Tail" and "Single-Tail" versions. Who can clarify or give sources of detailed information?
Respectfully,
David
- в пилотируемом варианте - до 10 суток;
Thank you. Can you give reference to the pictures you mentioned. What newspaper and the date?
David
I have been given information that there is a film that was produced (possibly by NPOMash) which at one point shows a model of a Proton carrier rocket with a Chelomei LKS on top with its wings folded. Does anybody in this forum have additional information about this film?
Respectfully,
David

To VK & Capt. David:

Thank you very much!
Indeed, thank you! This is most bebeficial!!!

There is another photograph of Chelomei's LKS (of poor quality) which appears on Mark Wade's website...
http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/c/chelspro.jpg
This appears to be an earlier version. Can anyone in this forum identify the source of this image?
David
The diagram introduced in the Air-Base forum above shows LKS on top of Proton. In preparation for launch the wings are folded. Are these unfolded as the launch tower is pulled away and before launch, or do they remain in folded position during launch?
Also, there is small photo of LKS-001 prototype shown on Anatoly Zak's website... http://www.russianspaceweb.com/lks_2.jpg
If anyone in this forum has a better copy of this, please contact me!
Thank you,
David

PS David, mail me if you want this photo in larger resolution (but not so good quality)

I want too! Please, send it to my E-mail, OK? Thanks!
P.S. A trapezium can be corrected easy by Photoshop.

Quite right! I have already corrected the scan that was posted by "Muxel" on the Airbase Forum. I am hoping that with a higher resolution scan I may be able to 'clean' it up and bring out a few more details! :D
