After an aborted launch at T-minus 2 seconds Friday night, SpaceX has lowered the Falcon 9 rocket for the U.S. Space Force's GPS 3 SV04 mission horizontal at Cape Canaveral's Complex 40 launch pad for return to a nearby hangar.SpaceX also appears to have recalled its "Just Read The Instructions" drone ship back to Florida's Space Coast from its position in the Atlantic Ocean northeast of Cape Canaveral. The vessel was on station for landing of the Falcon 9 booster after launching the GPS satellite.
SpaceX engineers in the hangar are expected to inspect the rocket and fix the problem that triggered a hold in the countdown Friday night just as the Falcon 9 rocket began its engine ignition sequence.
Elon Musk, SpaceX's founder and CEO, tweeted that an "unexpected pressure rise in the turbomachinery gas generator" caused the abort, referring to a component in the Falcon 9's Merlin main engines.
SpaceX hasn't set a new target launch date for the mission, which was set to carry a GPS navigation satellite into orbit for the Space Force. The company proceeded with the launch of a different Falcon 9 rocket Tuesday from nearby pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, successfully deploying 60 more Starlink internet satellites.[свернуть]
The lowering of the Falcon 9 rocket on its launch pad and return of the drone ship to Port Canaveral suggest, at a minimum, the GPS launch won't happen within the next week.

18.10.2020 00:00:00
Of Course I Still Love You,

There's a 70 percent chance of good weather at the Kennedy Space Center for launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket at 8:25 a.m. EDT (1225 GMT) Sunday.
The official weather forecast issued by the U.S. Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron predicts isolated rain showers and otherwise partly cloudy skies.
"Tomorrow morning, some low level moisture will begin to move back north into the area, but mid and upper levels are expected to remain dry. This, combined with the brisk east/northeast flow, will bring some quick onshore-moving showers from the Atlantic tomorrow morning," the forecast team wrote earlier today.
"While sustained wind speeds are expected to remain under the threshold, they could become briefly elevated in showers or gusts. Therefore, the primary concerns for launch day are the cumulus cloud rule and liftoff winds."

T-minus 41 minutes. SpaceX intends to recover the first stage after today's launch. The company's drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" is parked roughly 400 miles (630 kilometers) northeast of Cape Canaveral.

The Falcon 9's first stage booster will target a propulsive landing on the football field-sized drone ship at T+plus 8 minutes, 24 seconds.
SpaceX's two fairing recovery ships -- named "Ms. Tree" and "Ms. Chief" -- are also in position in the Atlantic Ocean to retrieve the two halves of the Falcon 9's payload shroud around 45 minutes after launch.
The vessels are equipped with giant nets to catch the fairing shells as they descend under parafoils.
SpaceX has also retrieved the fairing structures from the ocean, but catching them in the nets prevents the shells from being drenched in salt water. That eases their refurbishment and reuse, SpaceX says.
Today's mission will use the Falcon 9 first stage designated B1051. It will be the sixth flight of this reusable booster after launches with SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft on an unpiloted test flight in March 2019, Canada's Radarsat Constellation Mission in June 2019, and three previous Starlink missions.
SpaceX says both of the Falcon 9's two payload fairing halves have flown on two previous missions with Starlink satellites.

Of Course I Still Love You,

STARLINK MISSION
On Sunday, October 18 at 8:25 a.m. EDT, 12:25 UTC, SpaceX launched 60 Starlink satellites from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Falcon 9's first stage previously supported Crew Dragon's first demonstration mission to the International Space Station, launch of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, and three Starlink missions this year. Following stage separation, SpaceX landed Falcon 9's first stage on the "Of Course I Still Love You" droneship, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. Falcon 9's fairing halves each previously supported two missions. The Starlink satellites deployed approximately 1 hour and 3 minutes after liftoff.

Go Ms. Tree и Go Ms. Chief прибыли в порт Морхед-Сити, Северная Каролина.
