ZX 11 (ChinaSat 11) is a communications satellite based upon a DFH-4 bus. The spacecraft will feature a 15-year design lifetime and a 5,000 kg launch mass. The satellite is equipped with 30 C-band and 16 Ku-band transponders, three receiver antennas, and two transmission antennas.

Part of the satellite's payload has been leased to Sri Lanka and is co-branded as SupremeSat 2 until the SupremeSat 3 is available.

The biggest and the most powerful communications satellite of China, CHINASAT11 is reported to be in final preparations for launch in early May from Xichang Launch Center. CHINASAT 11. based on domestical DFH-4 bus, carries 19 Ku and 26 C transponders.

It turns out that while the launch team did take measures in the event of another earthquake, the pad flow was actually not disrupted - on April 20 (the day the M7.0 earthquake struck) the mating of the satellite to the interstage was completed as scheduled, and on the next day the satellite was transported to the pad and mated to the launch vehicle. It looks like that there will not be any delays to the launch.
