Dear Sirs
Many people believe the Vostok to be alu covered in hexagons.
But on some photos the Vostok cannot be pure white, rather a whitish-silver. Some photos show the Vostok to be in green-brown. Is this whitish looking surface (fiberglass?) a protection cover for the alu hexagons? Like the blue cover on Apollos (prior to start!) to protect the mylar srtipes. What about the green-brown Vostoks? Is it a cover too? See please Tereshkovas Vostok on landing site/training? Who is able to solve this problems?
Many thanks in advance
Max
