A recent discussion on FPSpace has illustrated the lack of certain historical images from the former soviet space programs. Of interest to me is the lack of any photographs or film footage showing the preparation or launch of the Salyut 5 (OPS "Almaz 3") orbital station.
OPS "Almaz" 4 was to have been equipped with a Synthetic Aperture Radar. Was the Salyut 5 station similarly equipped? Mark Wade presumes it to have been, but is there any evidence to show that this is plausible?
