Curveball
Rocket Lab successfully launched its HASTE launch vehicle from Launch Complex 2 on Wallops Island, Virginia for an undisclosed customer. The mission was Rocket Lab's 9th HASTE launch overall.
Despite HASTE being advertised as a suborbital launch vehicle, the second stage and kickstage from this mission were cataloged in a 200km orbit with an inclination of 40 degrees by the US Space Force. The payload was not cataloged. Further details are not known due to the classified nature of the mission.

Rocket Lab launched an Electron HASTE (Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron) suborbital rocket with the "Curveball" mission from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 2 (LC-2), or Launch Pad 0C (LP-0C), at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) on Wallops Island in Virginia, USA. This launch flew experimental hypersonic vehicle on a suborbital trajectory. The flight took place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 08:00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), or at 04:00:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Jonathan's Space Report No. 857 draft
Rocket Lab
-----------
On Jun 11 Rocket Lab launched a HASTE test vehicle (modified Electron) from the Mid Atlantic
Regional Spaceport (MARS) at Wallops Island, with the CURVEBALL military test vehicle.
HASTE is usually suborbital but the US Space Force cataloged two rocket stages (presumably
the Electron stage 2 and kick stage) in orbit as a result of the flight. Orbital data for the
objects is secret, and so is whether or not the objects are still in orbit.
The only known declared warning areas are in the western Atlantic.
The likely implication is that HASTE placed CURVEBALL in a low orbit, and then CURVEBALL immediately
used propulsion to deorbit itself in the Atlantic. Since it remained up for less than an orbit
it was not cataloged, but the rocket stages did stay up and so were recorded in the SATCAT.
