There had been discussions on concept art regarding Kinetica-2. The answer is YES; we will develop reusability into Kinetica-2 in steady steps.
Kinetica-2 will see its inauguration launch in Aug 2025. Milestones are planned for 1st stage reusability before 2028. Details below:

1. The upcoming sub-orbital Space Tourism Vehicle will serve as the technology validation platform.
2. Early Kinetica-2 launches will carry experimental payloads for reusability development.
3. Kinetica-2 will gradually develop core stage and booster reusability by 2028.

Developing reusability into Kinetica-2 requires R&D milestones to make it 'lighter, hotter and smarter'. By 'lighter', the vehicle will be built with light-weight materials to improve effciency; by 'hotter', the vehicle will need to adapt to the challenging thermal environment;

and by 'smarter', Kinetica-2 will integrate a robust GNC system designed for precise landing.

ЦитироватьШАНХАЙ, 12 января. /ТАСС/. Запуск новой китайской ракеты-носителя на жидком топливе Lijian-2 запланирован на 2025 год. Об этом говорится в сообщении компании-разработчика CAS Space.
В ходе запуска планируется вывести на орбиту несколько спутников, обеспечивающих предоставление интернет-услуг. Соответствующее решение было утверждено CAS Space совместно с Исследовательским институтом по микроспутникам при Китайской академии наук на форуме, состоявшемся в январе в Шанхае. Стороны обсуждали на нем проекты, связанные с более экономичными системами доставки грузов на орбиту.
Ракета-носитель Lijian-2 имеет взлетную массу 628 тонн и тягу 766 тонн. Ее диаметр составляет 3,35 м, общая длина - 53 м. Ракета-носитель может выводит на низкую околоземную орбиту груз массой до 12 тонн, а на солнечно-синхронную - до 7,8 тонны.

Kinetica-2 Update:
Inaugural launch now aiming September 2025
Engineering Design Phase is now completed; all onboard and ground equipment are now in production.
To compete in the low-cost cargo transporation bid, we formed a joint team with the public institution of "Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Microsat)". The collaborative launcher-transporter dual bid was submitted and awarded. A highlight of the bid was the unified design and workflow, e.g. unified GNC and TT&C interface, to allow simplified launch procedures and lowered cost.
We reckon the award is a recognition and encouragement for the rising commercial sector. With our dreams and visions, CAS Space will work towards being a positive contributor to a healthy and active market in the new competitive landscape.

Kinetica-2 in Development - Fairing Separation

We have completed the horizontal fairing jettison test for Kinetica-2. The composite fusiform-shaped fairing has a diameter of 4.2m and is 12.19m tall. The design allows a half or full separation, and both options have been successfully tested.
The design avoids hinges, and the low-shock gas thrusters instead of pyrotechnics provide the separation force.
This also marks the first domestic such test in the ground environment.
