'Four Of A Kind', a dedicated mission for Spire Global Inc and its customer NorthStar Earth & Space, is Rocket Lab's first Electron launch of 2024 and our 43rd Electron mission overall.

В рамках миссии под названием Four Of A Kind запуск двухступенчатой ракеты Electron с разгонным блоком Kick Stage Curie был осуществлен со стартового комплекса LC-1B, расположенного на полуострове Махия в Новой Зеландии, в 19:34 по местному времени (в 09:34 по Москве). Космические аппараты Skylark массой 6 кг каждый должны быть выведены на орбиту примерно через 50 минут после старта ракеты.
Спутники, размещаемые на орбите высотой 530 км, предназначены для отслеживания движения космических объектов, определения их орбит, оповещения о сближении, предотвращения столкновений и навигации.
Канадская компания в перспективе планирует создать на орбите группировку из 12 таких аппаратов.
Компания Rocket Lab планирует поднять из воды первую ступень ракеты Electron, которая после отделения приводнится в Тихом океане с помощью парашютной системы. Для этого будет задействовано специальное спасательное судно.
Это первый запуск ракеты Electron компании Rocket Lab в текущем году и 43-я миссия с начала ее эксплуатации...
