TAIYUAN, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- China launched a new satellite for disaster reduction from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province on Wednesday.
The satellite was launched by a Long March-2C carrier rocket at 6:53 a.m. (Beijing Time) and entered the planned orbit.
The launch was the 482nd mission by the Long March rocket series.

Тайюань, 9 августа /Синьхуа/ -- Китай в среду при помощи ракеты-носителя "Чанчжэн-2В" /"Великий поход-2В" или CZ 2C/ запустил спутник, который предназначен в основном для обслуживания сферы смягчения последствий стихийных бедствий.
Ракета-носитель стартовала в 06:53 по пекинскому времени с космодрома Тайюань в провинции Шаньси на севере Китая. Космический аппарат был выведен на запланированную орбиту.
Это 482-й по счету полет для ракет-носителей серии "Чанчжэн".

A Long March-2C launch vehicle launched the Huanjing-2 06 satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Shanxi Province, China, on 8 August 2023, at 22:53 UTC (9 August, at 06:53 local time). The Huanjing-2 06 (环境减灾二号06) satellite, also know as S-SAR-02, is designed to collect 5-metre resolution S-band radar image data and will "support disaster prevention, reduction, relief, and environmental protection". According to official sources, the satellite entered the planned orbit and will form a network with S-SAR-01.
