Arianespace's "supply pipeline" is supporting the company's high-activity launch pace planned for 2014, with launcher elements arriving this week in French Guiana for its third flight of the lightweight Vega and another heavy-lift Ariane 5 mission.

These components were delivered by the MN Toucan – one of two sea-going vessels performing rotations between Europe and South America, regularly transporting stages and other hardware for the Ariane 5, Vega and medium-lift Soyuz vehicles that compose Arianespace's launcher family.
Included in the MN Toucan's roll-on/roll-off interior cargo bay were the main cryogenic stage for an Ariane 5 to be launched this spring on a mission designated Flight VA218, along with its combined cryogenic upper stage/vehicle equipment bay unit.
Also carried in the cargo bay, as well as on the ship's upper deck, were components for the Zefiro 23 second stage and Zefiro 9 third stage to be used on Arianespace's next Vega mission – designated Flight VV03 in the company's numbering system. This flight will be the third performed from French Guiana by the lightweight vehicle, and is to carry the DZZ-HR high-resolution observation satellite built for the Republic of Kazakhstan by Airbus Defence & Space.
This hardware was unloaded from the MN Toucan after it docked at the city of Kourou's Pariacabo Port, enabling the transfer by road to the nearby Spaceport.
 For 2014, Arianespace's order book provides payloads for up to 14 launch opportunities, with the company's objective to perform 12 missions during the year – depending on the availability of satellites.  Based on current planning, this activity would be composed of six Ariane 5 launches, four Soyuz missions and two Vega flights.

The launcher for Arianespace's initial Vega flight of 2014 began its build-up this week at the Spaceport in French Guiana, marking the first step in a mission campaign that will lead to its orbiting of the DZZ-HR high-resolution observation satellite.
To initiate the activity, Vega's P80 first stage was transferred yesterday from the Spaceport's Booster Integration Building to the SLV launch zone.  It was then positioned on the launch pad and protected by the mobile gantry.
The P80 is an advanced solid propellant motor that features a novel filament-wound casing structure. Using one of the largest, most powerful single-block solid propellant motors ever built, the 11-meter tall stage burns for approximately 100 seconds during Vega's first phase of flight.
This third Vega mission's DZZ-HR payload is a 900-kg.-class satellite produced by Airbus Defence and Space for the Republic of Kazakhstan's government.  Once in Sun-synchronous orbit, DZZ-HR will provide very-high-quality panchromatic and multispectral products for a wide range of applications, including cadastral surveys, management of natural resources, environmental monitoring and homeland surveillance.
Vega is the light-lift member of Arianespace's launcher family, joining the medium-weight Soyuz and heavy-lift Ariane 5 in operations at the Spaceport. 
Developed in a European Space Agency program led by Italy's ASI space agency and industrial prime contractor ELV SpA., Vega was conceived for the orbiting of small- to medium-sized satellites, including institutional and scientific spacecraft.  The vehicle's benchmark mission is for a 1,500-kg. payload lift performance into a 700 km. altitude circular orbit.
The first Vega launch (designated Flight VV01 in Arianespace's numbering system) was a qualification mission performed in February 2012, carrying the LARES laser relativity satellite, a small ALMASat-1 technology microsatellite demonstrator, and seven CubeSats.   It was followed by Flight VV02 in May 2013, which orbited the Proba-V, VNREDSat-1 and ESTCube-1 satellites.

DZZ-HR, the Republic of Kazakhstan's first Earth observation satellite, has just left Airbus Defence and Space's cleanrooms in Toulouse and is now on its way to the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou. From there a European Vega launcher will place it in orbit, with the launch date set for 25 April 2014.

DZZ-HR is a 900kg high-resolution satellite. From a low sun-synchronous orbit it will provide the Republic of Kazakhstan with a complete range of civil applications, including monitoring of natural and agricultural resources, provision of mapping data, and support for rescue operations in the event of a natural disaster.

Airbus Defence and Space, the world's leading exporter of Earth observation satellites, signed with Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary (KGS) the contract to supply the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a space Earth observation system following an international tender process in 2009.

Первый казахстанский спутник ДЗЗ «KazEOSat-1» (Kazakhstan Earth Observation Satellite - казахстанский спутник наблюдения Земли) изготовлен по заказу Казкосмоса французской компанией Airbus Defence and Space (в недавнем прошлом EADS Astrium).

KazEOSat-1 предназначен для предоставления полного спектра услуг ДЗЗ, получения снимков территории Республики Казахстан, а также других участков Земли в целях мониторинга, предотвращения стихийных бедствий, проведения земельного кадастра, картографирования для обеспечения обороны и безопасности страны.

KazEOSat-1 будет выведен на солнечно-синхронную орбиту (около 700 км от Земли) европейским ракетоносителем «Вега».

Контракт на поставку Правительству Республики Казахстан космической системы дистанционного зондирования Земли (КС ДЗЗ) был подписан между Airbus Defence and Space - мировым лидером по экспорту спутников зондирования Земли и подведомственным Казкосмосу АО «НК «Қазақстан Ғарыш Сапары»  в 2009 году по итогам международного тендерного процесса.

В состав КС ДЗЗ РК входит два космических аппарата: высокого и среднего пространственного разрешений, а также наземный целевой комплекс и наземный комплекс управления космическими аппаратами ДЗЗ в городе Астана.

KazEOSat-1 - это первый спутник дистанционного зондирования Земли Казахстана высокого пространственного разрешения в 1 метр.

Второй космический аппарат ДЗЗ среднего пространственного разрешения в 6,5 метра  (KazEOSat-2) также создан подведомственной Airbus Defence and Space британской компанией SSTL.

Сдача в эксплуатацию наземного комплекса управления космическими аппаратами ДЗЗ (НКУ КА ДЗЗ) в городе Астане запланирована на июль 2014 года.

В рамках казахстанско-французского контракта на создание КС ДЗЗ полный курс практической стажировки во Франции и Великобритании прошли 50 казахстанских инженеров, которые будут автономно управлять спутником и обрабатывать космические снимки в новом здании НКУ КА ДЗЗ.

Для участия в запуске  KazEOSat-1 во Французскую Гвиану отправится казахстанская делегация во главе с председателем Национального космического агентства РК Талгатом Мусабаевым.

Arianespace's Vega mission with DZZ-HR, Kazakhstan's first Earth observation satellite, is entering the final preparation phase for a nighttime liftoff next week from the Spaceport in French Guiana.
This will be the light-lift Vega's third flight, once again demonstrating its capability to accommodate a full range of payloads as the smallest member in Arianespace's launcher family – operating along with the medium-lift Soyuz and heavyweight Ariane 5 at the Spaceport.
The mission is set for April 28, at an exact liftoff time of 10:35:15 p.m. from Vega's SLV launch complex.  It will deploy DZZ-HR into a Sun-synchronous orbit, inclined 98.5 deg. at the conclusion of a flight lasting 55 minutes, 29 seconds.  
DZZ-HR has an estimated liftoff mass of 830 kg. and was built by Airbus Defence and Space for the Republic of Kazakhstan to perform civilian applications ranging from the monitoring of natural and agricultural resources to the provision of mapping data and support for rescue operations during natural disasters.
With a nominal design service lifetime of 7.25 years, the high-resolution spacecraft will be renamed KazEOSat 2 once reaching its assigned orbit.

 

Mission highlights

During Vega's initial ascent from the Spaceport, DZZ-HR will be protected by a 7.90-meter-long payload fairing (shown in the cut-away drawing at right), which is to be jettisoned 3 min., 54 sec. after liftoff.  The flight will be powered by Vega's solid propellant P80 first stage, Zefiro 23 second stage and Zefiro 9 third stage.  The AVUM (Attitude & Vernier Upper Module) upper stage has a bipropellant propulsion system for orbital injection, with its monopropellant propulsion system providing roll and attitude control.
Vega was developed to launch small satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO) and Sun-synchronous orbit (SSO), serving as a capable vehicle to meet existing and emerging market requirements.
Development of Vega was handled in the framework of a European Space Agency (ESA) program financed by Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden.  The launcher design authority and prime contractor is Italy's ELV – a joint venture company of Avio and the Italian space agency – while Arianespace is responsible for handling the launch operations.

Какая-то путаница с названием этих КазЕОСат'ов: на сайте Казкосмоса говорят (http://kazcosmos.gov.kz/ru/novosti/220414.html), что с Куру запускают «KazEOSat-1» (следовательно, на Днепре полетит #2); Арианспейс же сообщает, что запущенный ими DZZ-HR после вывода на орбиту переименуют в KazEOSat-2 :)

Arianespace's next Vega mission fr om French Guiana has been given the "all clear" for liftoff on April 28 with its DZZ-HR payload, following completion of the launch readiness review performed today at the Spaceport.
This assessment – held before each flight of an Arianespace launcher family member – confirmed that the light-lift vehicle and its DZZ-HR satellite passenger are flight-ready, along with the Spaceport's infrastructure and the network of downrange tracking stations.
The upcoming mission is designated Flight VV03 in Arianespace's numbering system, and it will be performed from the Spaceport's SLV launch site – wh ere the Vega was assembled and now stands in a flight-ready configuration, protected by a mobile gantry that will be withdrawn prior to liftoff.
With today's launch readiness review completed, all is set for the Vega's scheduled liftoff precisely at 10:35:15 p.m. local time in French Guiana on Monday, April 28. Its subsequent 55-minute, 29-second flight will conclude with deployment of DZZ-HR – which was built by Airbus Defence and Space for the Republic of Kazakhstan – into a Sun-synchronous orbit, inclined 98.5 deg.
DZZ-HR will perform civilian applications ranging from the monitoring of natural and agricultural resources to the provision of mapping data and support for rescue operations during natural disasters.  It has a liftoff mass of approximately 830 kg., and will be re-designated KazEOSat-1 after reaching the assigned orbit.

«Спутник дистанционного зондирования земли (ДЗЗ) высокого разрешения позволяет получать снимки из космоса в интересах МЧС РК, экологии, сельского хозяйства. Мы будем непосредственно получать снимки непосредственно территории нашей страны. Мы будем получать их оперативно и это важно при наводнениях, при ЧС очень важно получать оперативную информацию из космоса. Также ресурсы нашего спутника будут задействованы не только в интересах нашей страны, но и в интересах всего мирового сообщества. 80% ресурса будут ориентированы на за рубеж и у нас уже есть договоренность с французской стороной о том чтобы они распространяли снимки с нашего спутника в интересах других стран», - сообщил Еркын Шаймагамбетов.

«Срок эксплуатации спутника дистанционного зондирования земли - 7 лет и 80% ресурсов выкупает французская сторона, которая будет обеспечивать продажу этих снимков за рубежом. Оставшиеся 20% удовлетворяют наши потребности, и эти ресурсы будут использованы в интересах сельского хозяйства, экономики и безопасности Казахстана», - добавил он.

After its qualification in February 2012, ESA had planned four promotional missions to introduce Vega to the satellite market - the so-called 'VERTA' flights or Vega Research and Technology Accompaniment programme - aiming at demonstrating the flexibility of the Vega launch system. But customers did not wait.

ESA is currently adapting its launcher programmes to fit to the evolving satellite market, while at the same time maintaining independent access to space for Europe.

Поздравляю казахов с первым национальным спутником-разведчиком, итальянцев с очередным успешным запуском Веги и Южмаш с успешной отработкой 4 ступени.
Перуанцы еще заказали у французов спутник ДЗЗ с разрешением 2,5 м за 213 млн. лямов.
ЦСКБ за меньшую сумму может копию Ресурса-П сделать и 70 см на пиксель в кармане.

Наши на пуск КазСат-3 получается никого с Казахстана не приглашали, эх тут хоть мультяшки такие в репортаже делать бы стали, в интернете-то получается.

Кстати интересно а на Днепре похожий КА полетит? Блин а ещё интересно сколько разница пусковых услуг на Веге и Днепре, тут же он один, а там вроде коллектив должен быть?

Пуск прошел в штатном режиме, отделение космического аппарата (КА) от четвертой ступени ракеты-носителя «Вега» состоялось на  56 минуте после старта.
Первый в истории Казахстана спутник ДЗЗ  создавался по заказу Казкосмоса французской компанией Airbus Defense and Space (бывшая EADS Astrium)  в течение четырех лет. Космический аппарат KazEOSat-1 имеет высокое пространственное разрешение в 1 метр, полоса захвата -  20 км, производительность спутника ДЗЗ - 220 тыс. квадратных километров в течение суток. Масса казахстанского КА ДЗЗ составляет около 900 кг, срок службы на орбите - более 7 лет.
Для европейской ракеты-носителя  легкого класса «Вега», которая была создана Европейским космическим агентством и космическим агентством Италии,  это был третий коммерческий запуск. Первый пуск  состоялся в феврале  2012 года, «Вега»  вывела на орбиту спутники исключительно итальянского производства.
Во время второго запуска  РН «Вега» в мае 2013 года  были успешно выведены на орбиту три спутника, предназначенные для научно-исследовательских целей: европейская миссия «Проба-В», вьетнамский КА VNREDSat- 1 и первый в истории Эстонии  спутник ESTCube.
Третий запуск «Веги» вошел в историю, как дебют первого казахстанского спутника ДЗЗ высокого разрешения.
С успешным запуском казахстанскую делегацию во главе с председателем Казкосмоса Талгатом Мусабаевым, наблюдавшую за пуском в центре управления полетами Гвианского космического центра, поздравили руководители космических ведомств и предприятий Франции, Европейского космического агентства.

As a 900-kg.-class Earth observation spacecraft, KasEOSat-1 is to provide the Republic of Kazakhstan with a complete range of civil applications – including monitoring of natural and agricultural resources, provision of mapping data, and support for rescue operations in the event of a natural disaster.
Tonight's mission – designated Flight VV03 – marked the third launch of a Vega, which joins Arianespace's medium-lift Soyuz and heavyweight Ariane 5 to form the world's most capable family of launchers, operating side-by-side at the Spaceport.
Conceived for the orbiting of small- to medium-sized satellites, including institutional and scientific spacecraft, Vega was developed in the framework of a European Space Agency (ESA) program financed by Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden.  The launcher design authority and prime contractor is Italy's ELV – a joint venture company of Avio and the Italian ASI space agency – while Arianespace is responsible for handling the launch operations.
The first Vega launch (designated Flight VV01 in Arianespace's numbering system) was a qualification mission performed in February 2012, carrying the LARES laser relativity satellite, a small ALMASat-1 technology microsatellite demonstrator, and seven CubeSats.   It was followed by Flight VV02 in May 2013, which orbited the Proba-V, VNREDSat-1 and ESTCube-1 satellites.
Tonight's Vega success was Arianespace's fourth mission so far in 2014, putting the company on track to perform a total of 12 launches from Europe's Spaceport during the year – which would mark a new record, surpassing the 10-launch mark set in 2012. It follows the Ariane 5 flight that orbited ABS-2 and Athena-Fidus in February; Ariane 5's March success with ASTRA 5B and Amazonas 4A; and the Soyuz mission to loft Sentinel-1A earlier this month.

Почему только у Космотраса сайт молчит?

Никто не подскажет сколько Казахстану обойдется запуск на Днепре KazEOSat-2, хочу сравнить с Вегой, поэтому может кто подскажет точную стоимость пуска, так вроде на памяить 44 млн. евро?

Запущенный 30 апреля 2014 года с космодрома Куру первый казахстанский спутник дистанционного зондирования Земли (ДЗЗ) 3 мая выдал первые тестовые снимки из космоса, передает КазИнформ.

Как сообщил председатель Национального космического агентства РК Талгат Мусабаев, спутник KazEOSat-1 работает в нормальном режиме. Как ожидалось, на третьи сутки космический аппарат ДЗЗ выдал первые тестовые снимки Казахстана из космоса. «Снимки очень высокого качества с пространственным разрешением до 1 метра были сделаны над Астаной», - уточнил Т. Мусабаев.

На третий день после запуска KazEOSat-1 выдал первые снимки из космоса отличного качества.

Напомним, первый казахстанский спутник ДЗЗ имеет высокое пространственное разрешение в 1 метр, полоса захвата - 20 км, производительность спутника ДЗЗ - 220 тыс. кв. км в течение суток, срок службы на орбите - более 7 лет.

«В данное время испытания на орбите космического аппарата ДЗЗ продолжаются. Наши специалисты совместно с французскими коллегами ведут круглосуточное сопровождение спутника, создавая максимальные нагрузки с целью выявления его предельных возможностей», - сказал М. Нургужин.

В соответствии с плановыми работами, орбитальные тестовые испытания космического аппарата продолжатся до конца лета, после чего спутник будет передан на управление заказчику - АО «НК «Қазақстан Ғарыш Сапары».

 АСТАНА. КАЗИНФОРМ -  Канадская компания  PCI Geomatics объявила о добавлении поддержки данных сенсора космического аппарата (КА)  «KazEOSat-1» в программное обеспечение  Geomatica 2014.
Как сообщил нашему агентству исполняющий обязанности президента  АО НК «Қазақстан Ғарыш Cапары» (ҚҒС) Марат Нургужин, канадское программное обеспечение Geomatica 2014, разработанное компанией PCI Geomatics, поддерживает данные дистанционного зондирования Земли с КА «KazEOSat-1» с пространственным разрешением в 1 метр, начиная  с декабря 2014 года.

По итогам первого заседания Государственной комиссией был подписан Протокол рассмотрения.
Напомним, что  КС ДЗЗ включает в себя два оптико-электронных космических аппарата (КА): высокого пространственного разрешения (1м) «KazEOSat-1», среднего пространственного разрешения (6,5м) «KazEOSat-2», а также наземный комплекс управления спутниками и наземный целевой комплекс для приема, обработки и распространения данных ДЗЗ конечным потребителям.
Первый казахстанский спутник ДЗЗ  «KazEOSat-1» высокого пространственного разрешения был принят в штатную эксплуатацию в июне 2015 года, второй же казахстанский спутник  ДЗЗ «KazEOSat-2» среднего пространственного разрешения был передан в собственность Казахстана в декабре прошлого года.
В настоящее время оба космических аппарата ДЗЗ работают в штатном режиме, делая круглосуточный мониторинг Земли.
К примеру, в течение одних суток спутник «KazEOSat-1» может проводить космическую съемку до 220 тыс. кв. км, а «KazEOsat-2» до 1 млн. кв. км.
Отмечается, что с момента эксплуатации  было  отснято и обработано более 150  млн. кв. км. космических снимков.
Большая часть из них находится в  уникальном архиве АО «НК «ҚҒС», часть передана заказчикам - Министерству сельского хозяйства РК, Министерству обороны РК,  КЧС МВД РК и другим.
КС ДЗЗ РК предназначена для обеспечения независимости Республики Казахстан в получении оперативной мониторинговой информации территории страны, а также получение данных ДЗЗ для решения задач отраслей экономики, обороноспособности и национальной безопасности РК.
