SpaceX will load kerosene and liquid oxygen propellants into the rocket beginning at 9:21 p.m. EST (0221 GMT). The automated countdown will proceed through propellant loading, final guidance system checkouts, and pressurization before issuing the command to ignite the nine Merlin 1D engines at T-minus 3 seconds.
Restraints will open to allow the 229-foot-tall (70-meter) Falcon 9 rocket to climb away from pad 40 with 1.7 million pounds of thrust from its Merlin main engines.
Heading northeast from Cape Canaveral, the rocket's first stage booster will separate about two-and-a-half minutes into the mission, targeting a landing on SpaceX's drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" around 400 miles (650 kilometers) northeast of the launch site.
The booster is scheduled to land on the floating platform at T+plus 8 minute, 44 seconds, moments before shutdown of the Falcon 9's upper stage engine. The upper stage will deploy the 60 flat-panel Starlink satellites at T+plus 14 minutes, 44 seconds, according to a mission timeline released by SpaceX.
The rocket will aim to place the satellites into an elliptical orbit ranging between 132 miles (213 kilometers) and 227 miles (366 kilometers), with an inclination of 53 degrees to the equator.
The quarter-ton satellites, built by SpaceX in Redmond, Washington, are expected to unfurl power-generating solar arrays and prime their krypton ion thrusters to begin raising their orbits to an operational altitude of 341 miles (550 kilometers), where they will join more than 800 other Starlink relay stations to beam broadband internet signals across most of the populated world.
With tonight's launch, SpaceX will have deployed 955 Starlink satellites into orbit since May 2019.

Good evening from Florida's Space Coast, where SpaceX is gearing up for another launch attempt to deliver its 16th batch of Starlink satellites to orbit.
SpaceX will load kerosene and liquid oxygen propellants into the Falcon 9 rocket beginning at 8:38 p.m. EST (0138 GMT). The automated countdown will proceed through propellant loading, final guidance system checkouts, and pressurization before issuing the command to ignite the nine Merlin 1D engines at T-minus 3 seconds.
Restraints will open at 9:13:12 p.m. EST (0213:12 GMT) to allow the 229-foot-tall (70-meter) Falcon 9 rocket to climb away from pad 40 with 1.7 million pounds of thrust from its Merlin main engines.
Heading northeast from Cape Canaveral, the rocket's first stage booster will separate about two-and-a-half minutes into the mission, targeting a landing on SpaceX's drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" around 400 miles (630 kilometers) northeast of the launch site.

T-minus 35 minutes. Filling of the Falcon 9 rocket with super-chilled, densified kerosene and liquid oxygen is underway at Cape Canaveral. This will mark SpaceX's 16th launch of the year, and the 93rd flight of a Falcon 9 rocket since June 2010.
The liquid oxygen flowing into the first stage is chilled to near minus 340 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 206 degrees Celsius).
Propellant loading begins with pumping RP-1 kerosene into both stages of the Falcon 9 rocket, and liquid oxygen into the first stage. Liquid oxygen begins loading into the second stage at T-minus 16 minutes.

ЦитироватьSpaceX tentatively plans to reuse first stage that flew with the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich mission Saturday on the company's next launch of a NASA spacecraft from Vandenberg next July, NASA launch director Tim Dunn said in a recent interview with Spaceflight Now.
On that flight, a Falcon 9 rocket will launch NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, mission from Vandenberg. It will mark the first time a NASA science mission has launched on a previously-flown Falcon 9 booster.
DART is scheduled for launch in a window opening July 2021, allowing the probe to reach its asteroid target in late 2022. DART will intentionally crash into a tiny moonlet orbiting asteroid Didymos to test out deflection techniques that scientists could use to move an asteroid off a collision course with Earth.

Ms. Chief is due to arrive at Port Canaveral overnight tonight. Hopefully, the ship has recovered the fairing halves from the Starlink mission.
Can't give a precise ETA for this. Luckily, @NASASpaceflight (https://twitter.com/NASASpaceflight) Fleetcam is always watching...

GO Searcher was also deployed for fairing recovery and may have a fairing half too. That ship is slower and will be back tomorrow night.

Seven times flown. SEVEN!
This time last year, I think the most a single #Falcon9 (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Falcon9?src=hashtag_click) booster had flown was, what, 3 or 4?
Imagine what next year will bring. Will B1049 be the first to cross the 10-flight line? It will have to compete with the likes of B1051, which has 6 flights.

Fleet leading @SpaceX (https://twitter.com/SpaceX) #falcon9 (https://twitter.com/hashtag/falcon9?src=hashtag_click) #block5 (https://twitter.com/hashtag/block5?src=hashtag_click) B-1049.7 is leaving Port Canaveral and heading back to #capecanaveral (https://twitter.com/hashtag/capecanaveral?src=hashtag_click) for refurbishment and a future 8th flight while traffic on HWY 401 was stopped in both directions. What a great sight to stumble upon. Congratulations to #SpaceX (https://twitter.com/hashtag/SpaceX?src=hashtag_click) !
